You met ROTSAM and RANSOM, but we wanted to introduce you to our *other* offroad vehicle, which we have decided to call BUMBLE G.



BUMBLE G is a G580 — fully electric, and for some dumb reason @Rotsam and I have decided that the ONLY POSSIBLE thing to do after purchasing this vehicle, is to immediately take it to Moab and see what it can do on Hell’s Revenge.

We are gonna be back in Moab May 12-14 in order to run a few trails in it if anyone wants to meet up.

We get this question a lot. IDK about adoption, but we definitely are always down to go wheeling in this (or the jeeps) about any old time, lol.

I have said the same thing, lol. Again not useful for any sort of serious situation, but a fun party trick.

Unfortunately, we cancelled our trip to Moab to take this vehicle. After testing it out on a road trip just 3 hours from my home and dealing with the charging nonsense, the hubs and I were both like ‘nope’. So we’re just going to plan another trip and take the jeeps again. We still have some badges to get in these rigs.

Those could be perceived to be fighting words for many people here since it pretty much requires an electric vehicle.

From what I understand, however, it's pretty useless due to needing to be on level ground. Hopefully I'm mistaken.

I kinda wanted a Rivian but the snob in me didn’t want to give up my Gwagon, so instead I just waited till the electric wagons came out. My neighbor has a Rivian tho and it’s sharp AF, tbh.

It’s totally useless, just a party trick. They have G-Turn that’s far more impressive, it actually locks the inner front turning tire to induce drag/drift in the rear to truly minimize turning radius. It’s awesome but I don’t know if I’d trust it on Black Bear, but if I did, it would be a record time run.

Advertised 260m range, we found about 170m reliable on a 100% charge (we did change the tires to A/T KO3s) - which means in real world driving, we’re looking for juice every two hours. Sounds like a nightmare when most of the west Texas chargers are slow af anyway.

I think this thing would crush Hell’s Revenge, including all the obstacles excepting Escalator, but we don’t have the patience to get it there to find out.

I would love that option to be available anyway for fun purpose only. Maybe the Tazer could do that eventually lol
