To regear (i.e. 4.10 to say 4.56 or 4.88) should INCREASE your crawling capability by allowing you to go slower. And instead of struggling to maintain speed in 8th gear, it should now run a little higher RPM to maintain speed in 8th.Look, I said I read it; I didn't say I fully understood it. In all seriousness though, my original questions still stand - is the only drawback to a regear slightly decreased crawling capability? And will this help reduce stress on the engine/vehicle?
