I've had several Jeep owners ask me what I thought of the Falcon SP2 3.3's I'm running on my build.

I've had them on my JLU for ~ 10 months now. I recently posted a video review on them as well as a few thoughts on what I feel are the major factors that make up the way our Jeeps ride and handle.

Check it out:

Next up is getting lighting installed on my roof rack. I'll be using Diode Diode Dynamics SSC2 Pro Flood for this.

I had general task lighting similar to this on my JK build. It's great for setting up camp after dark, etc.. I'm going to first run the wire and light these up to check output. I may do two per side. These are the Pro model and one per side might be more than enough.

The plan is to integrate them into the side of the rack. Stay tuned, more to come.

Hey Steven,
The guy that can't be named here just did a video on Nitto 38/12.50/17 RGs.
Would look mighty fine on your rig.

I have the full size mule rack with the load bars and t track system for a roof top tent. It was a pain putting together but it’s a nice piece of equipment. I’m actually going to sell it here once my trailer arrives and Im going to move the RTT to the trailer. Nice build journal.

Hey Josiah, appreciate your comments. Putting the rack together was a lot of work, but worth it.

Which trailer will you be running?

I am going with a Turtleback Getaway. Spec’d it out with lithium, icon suspension and every option. I plan to keep this one for life even if I buy a larger trailer at some point as well. This will allow me to go anywhere.
Those are beautiful trailers! Looking forward to seeing yours behind the 392!

I did a quick light output test of the new Diode Dynamics SSC2 Pro's that I'm mounting on the roof rack. I wasn't sure if I was going to need/want two lights per side.

One light per side will be plenty. Here's a quick cell phone pic. The lights have a nice even flood optic to the lenses.

I got started on modifying the rack today, should have them wired up and finished tomorrow. More to come.

Steven,

Following your review and lots of research myself, I have decided on the Mule mid-rack for my 20 JLURD. Would be very interested to see where/how you are running wiring and how you attached the lights when you are all done. Thanks for the great posts, really helpful.

Hey Steve! I should be finishing up the install on the lights tomorrow. I will put together an install video that will cover the steps/how to's. Really happy with the way I was able to get the lights onto the rack and getting the wiring run. More to come, stay tuned!
