Great points! I think I'm ok without a teardrop as I don't mind if I can pack up in 30-60 minutes as I don't typically have too much to do or timelines when camping. I have that with my day job so camp to get away from it!We're starting to think that something like a teardrop might make more sense for us than our RTT on our trailer. It takes nearly an hour to get the sleeping pads, sleeping bags, RTT, and everything put away in the morning. In theory that would be a few minutes with a teardrop. That all became obvious this weekend when we were in three different camp sites on three different nights this past weekend (one in Dinosaur National Monument and two along the Colorado near Moab).
I need to keep the profile fairly small as in the Midwest most trails are tight with trees and I suck at maneuvering - I'd be concerned I'd shave off a corner off a teardrop!
Here's what I'm looking at currently. It's pretty narrow at just over 5 ft wide and less than 11 ft long.
