You are correct. You will not use the fuse and relay from our harness and will just connect the black to the ground and red to the AUX wire. I just sent a memo internally making are all the guys know this.
Installed into the #3 Switch. Cut out the relay and switch and installed the plug part of the harness. Works great.

Does each wire from each cube join at the plug, then you are cutting the wire at that plug?

Plug and play. The cube has a 12" leader on it, you easily route it to the engine compartment, plug harness cable in and route to the aux switch wire. Splice the positive in and ground the black cable.

It was super easy once Rough Country told me I didnt need to do an elaborate splice of the harness and simply used the positive/negative cable sections.

Anybody can share on how bright these lights are?

I was debating between these and the light bar.
The light bar seems too close to the windshield though, so I am thinking I'll put one on the bumper instead.

Can one open the hood all the way back with these lights on?

Thanks guys!
G.

Are you connecting to the wires by the battery or the wires in foot well? are the wired by the battery connected to the auxilary switches? Pic would be great.

Red wire from the light to the AUX wire of your choice under the hood. Black wire to the ground. I used the ground just to the right of the battery. I will try to get a pic a little later.

I just installed tonight and can take a pic tomorrow. All I did was cut all the wires from the relay. I plugged the light harness into the lights and then took the two red wires from the lights and and put them together with the Aux wire. Then I took the black wires from the lights and did the same thing by putting them together and found a ground and that’s it. So all I used was the two plugs that go to the lights

Thanks, I plan on buying these but I was looking at instructions for mopar lights, it says boom them up to aux 3 or 4 only, how did you know which wires they are under hood, are they labeled?

I have the instructions from the aux kit from jeep. I put the rough country lights on aux 2 since is a 15amp. The wires for the Aux wires are labeled under the hood. Aux 1-4

I asked them this today via online chat. Told me the hood would still lean back to the windshield. So I ordered some lights lol

EDIT

Per RC in another thread

"With the 30in bar you can not go all the way back to the windshield."

The 2in cubes as a pair only pull 4amps so using the 15amp will be more than safe. The 30in single row only pulls 13.5 amps.
Could the 2 cube lamps and the LED Hoop on the Stubby front bumper be wired onto one switch since you would most likely be using them all at the same time? I don’t plan on having the 30” LED windshield bar.

For some reason, my Aux wires under the hood are not labeled. Can you let us know which color wire is Aux 1-4? For all 4 would be great. Thanks in advance...
