That's an impressive list, especially for how long you've been there!I dont think so where is it?
So far Ive done:
Red Elephant Hill
Bill Moore Lake
Saxon Mountain
Yankee HIll
Argintine Pass/Waldorf Wagon Road
Red Cone
Webster Pass
Middle St Vrain
T33 Crash Site
Bunce School Rd
A few trails in Red Feather Lakes
Moody Hill
And a few others in and around those.
That's an impressive list, especially for how long you've been there!
You get to Mini Moab from Rainbow Falls Riding area on 67 north of Woodland Park. Coordinates are about 39.144, -105.086. It's one of those "hey, I want to do some rock crawling, but don't want to drive far" places.
Consider going up Mt Herman Road from the opposite side to get there though. There's some fun obstacles near the top. Quite a few fun trails in that area, and you'll meander through them to get to Mini Moab from that side. That's all "the backyard" of our old place in CO, which backs up to the Front Range.
Make sure to check out Yansing Gulch (aka Chinaman Gulch) if possible. Different part of the state, but lots of fun, especially with a bit of snow cover, which can make it really challenging.
Yea theres some good camping that way for sure, we stayed early on the pass before you get to the top of the mountain. There's a great camping spot relatively close to the top along that stream. It's kind of hidden, so I'm not sure if I'd be able to find it remotely. Those dunes are kind of mind-blowing, right?
There's some dispersed camping in the area, but it's not worth a trip for that.Looks like tons of dispersed camping out that way may make ti one of my 3 day exploration weekends this year.
We were out every other weekend from when we got here June 5th last year till our Moab trip the first week of October. Weve done I think 2 trails since then cause we needed a little break lol and then the snow. Wasnt sure about snow wheeling until a few weeks ago when we did Red Feather Lakes and went up to Wyoming.
Our plan for this year is to spend all of our vacation on 3-5 day weekends to go explore and camp all over Colorado. So far this move was the best thing weve ever done.
Minor correction: on camber.I don't always have the pages up to see what angle I am at. This was my 1st stock height wheeling in Arkansas. I was curious for sure that trip. I was also alone, hence talking to myself in the JP
This still gives a better representation of the angle than the vid does...with the tree there.

What word is more correct in this case. THX!Minor correction: on camber.
On camber is like a NASCAR track. The angle of the curves help you through them. Off camber would be to take that track and drape it over a beach ball. That can be significantly more sphincter-tightening.
From the perspective of the person experiencing it? Sketchy AF might apply! What word is more correct in this case. THX!
the angle is precisely 1/10 of a degree before you reach the tipping point. impossible to tell if other than a controlled surface...a perfect surface ie a roughed cement surface a stock rubicon might reach mid to high 30's or even steeper....start adding rocks and holes in the side of a rocky side hill having a down hill side tire drop in a hole might put you over at lower 30'° or even lower. I have been in the high 20's lots of times on various terrain and sometimes it felt sketchy sometimes not. I know when I hit 31° I was probably fine but did not feel like it.. my buddy in nearly an identical built jeep going over the same place said it was the most uncomfortable he had ever been in his jeep. he has a lot of experience.side roll angle i’m aware that there’s a lot of factors that going into it but still, I wonder what that angle really is?
I’d like to see the same things done in a 2 door and know the difference in angle too. Obviously don’t see many doing climbs for good reasons but would be fun to watch comparisons.I know on Steel bender there is climb that absolutely gets your front tires very lightI forgot to look at my angle meter...the crazy thing it does not look that steep in photos lol..same with potato salad hill I swear I was going to go over backwards on that towards the top.. that was a once was enough obstacle for me but when you look at it it does not look all that bad. I have seen some guys/gals go up stuff way steeper than I will try and I have been at 44-45 degrees and 31 degrees side hill....my sphinxter meter pegs out and I am done after that...

I can tell you a 2 door feels scarier going up steep than a 4 door..I’d like to see the same things done in a 2 door and know the difference in angle too. Obviously don’t see many doing climbs for good reasons but would be fun to watch comparisons.
