Rocky Mountain High on Camera -- dash cam recommendations?

We'll be heading to the Rockies in July after some modifications are made to our 2024 Wrangler 2 door Sport. We'd like to have a dash cam to film our trip on Engineer and Cinnamon Passes. Any recommendations for camera newbies???

I know what you mean. I had one of the original hand cameras. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

Keep in mind that dashcam recordings will be on a loop. Old videos will be written over as the memory card gets full. If you go this route, you'll have to download any of the videos you want to keep, could be a bit of a hassle. Regardless, dashcams are good for peace of mind if anything happens.

I remember these as being an upgrade from my Kodak Brownie box camera...ahhhhh, the memories. I had the 1950's on film in an album with black pages and fastened with sticky "corners".

DJI Osmo 4 (or 5) in a suction cup mount on the windshield. Plus 2 or 3 256 gb memory cards. More control and better clarity than any dashcam.
