Just had the Jeep inspected and got the tires rotated at the same time. Now the reverse sensors on the Jeep are going crazy, thinking something is there when it isn't. The mechanic isn't sure wasn't sure what the deal was either. Do they work based off of the camera? Is there something else I can check? If it matters, I have a teraflex tire carrier and 35s.

I can't recall for sure, but it seems like other have reported this with 35s - something about rotating the spare? Might be having the valve stem up or something?

No shit? Where is the sensor actually located? I'll try moving the tire around.

I had the same problem, running the Teraflex carrier with 35's. I raised the carrier to the highest position and have had no issues for the last 4 months.

The ParkSense sensors are the flat buttons on the bumper about the size of a nickel. They're REALLY finicky. Thrown off by the slightest thing.

I replaced my bumper and they had no clue what's going on since. Finally said screw them, I have eyes and a rear camera. They're not worth the trouble.

Mine do that sometimes after washing it. Yeah, I sometimes wash it.

Like @Reinen said, they're the flat bumpers on the bumper. They'll move with a little finger pressure. Just adjust them a bit until they're flush. Repeat until reverse stops erroneously screaming.
