This seems to be an on going problem with the Wrangler. Here is a post from a few years ago about the same issue.

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...nent-no-start-issue-with-new-jlu-sahara.7014/

The general consensus seems to be to push the brake firmly and a bit harder when it acts up. 1 guy even suggested to lock the doors before starting the Heep.
Yeah i read that thread when i was researching problem. It definitely is not the same issue as stepping on the brake harder has not helped with the starting issue.

So been busy at work but I finally got her in to the stealership to get a diag done.
They returned the following: RFH (radio frequency hub) and BCM (body control module) not communicating with each other.

So my problem is that they do not know if this will Fix the problem and it's $2500 to replace both modules. They also couldn't explain why the jeep starts with the remote despite the modules being faulty.

Anyone have experience with having these issues?

Replace both modules, lmao. They have no idea what's wrong.
I just hate paying money for them to just start swapping parts till something fixes it.

Don't, their fix doesn't even make sense. If the CAN circuit in the BCM was bad, the Jeep would be completely DIW.

My take, if the RFH was bad the remote start wouldn't work. My money is on the BCM, I believe I read someone had a similar issue with their locks and that was it. Have you tried disconnecting both batteries and doing a hard reboot? Might get lucky.

This is a very simple diag with the right scan tool. Sorry your dealer sucks.

OP, have you tried touching your key fob directly to the push to start button to see if that works?
Yep tried that already after battery replacements (main battery, aux batter, key fob battery and hard reset).

Finally got my starting issue fixed. So it turned out to be a wire from the push start button that had grounded out. I ended up having to spend a few hundred dollars at another local dealership to have them tear into the dash to find the issue.

The question is have now is what kind of aftermarket crap was wired in that caused the damage? This sort of thing doesn’t happen on its own.
