How much height do you gain with the. Rubicon fender swap?
Rubicons can fit 35s on stock wheels without lifting. Some Rubicons have the same spring numbers as Sports (I have personally verified this), so either you could fit 35s on a Sport without lifting at all, just swapping Rubicon fenders, or you'd need maybe 0.5" spring spacers.

I'm probably not going to put 35s on my Sport, but if I did, I've already got 0.5" spacers, and all I would need is Rubicon fenders and either wheel spacers or wheels in the +20mm-25mm offset range (to position them in the same place under Rubicon fenders as they would be on a Rubicon with its 3/4" wider axles).

I have seen some videos of swapping the fenders but like everything else once you start to dig in a bit more it gets confusing with so many ideas. !!!

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but anyone who lifts a JL on Sport fenders without first swapping Rubicon or other high-line fenders is nuts (for the reason you state -- if you can clear bigger tires without lifting, why not do so).
I guess by your logic, I'm nuts.... thanks!

Ok, I will bite. If, and a huge if, I were to put 35’s on my bastard child Willys with lowly 3.45 gears, what detrimental harm am I going to do?
Bear in mind, my usage is road usage 85% and beach/ light trails the rest of the time.
Mileage is what it is and a heck of a lot better than my Suburban that I replaced with the Willys. So that is not a concern.
To me, 35’s are a perfect fit.

You'll have fewer smiles per mile.

Is that possible? I grin ear to ear every time I get in it.
Give me the good and the bad.

If you had lower gearing your ears would meet at the back of your noggin when you grinned.

Had to ask. While the 35’s look great, it’s just not practical With my set up.
A mans got to know his limitations.

PRECISELY why I re-geared my 3.6/auto running 34" rubber, to 4.56. Maybe for the 2.0 not so important, but for an engine with a 10" long crankshaft (lol), that makes basically zero torque below 2K, shit-canning those 3.45 sets was priority one for me! ?
Just call me the Red Light BANDIT!

I personally would regear, but I have never owned a Jeep with 2.0. All my experiences are with 3.6 and 4.0.

If you got the Mopar lift, it still should be covered under the Mopar warranty.
