Recon Package and Car Washes

Anyone running a Recon package or that has added the fender flare extensions been thru a car wash? Living in the Midwest looking for winter wash ideas lol.

They're fine in touchless, I wouldn't bring mine through those rotating bundles of 3000 grit sandpaper though although I think they would fair ok. Worst case you would need to redo a couple plastic rivets.

I used to baby my JEEPS then i realized It's a JEEP! I take mine through the brushed one. If a JEEP can't handle a car wash then it doesn't deserve to be a JEEP. In the Midwest you have to take them through automatics in the winter unless you have your own shop. My buddy hand washes his truck its a 2012 and the underneath is almost rusted out. It is insane

The more you worry about your JEEP getting scratched the less fun you have with it :{ Ive been there. My XR does fine in the wash.

In addition to my Jeep, I have a garage queen and therefore have all the equipment for car washes (power washer, all sorts of soaps, etc.). It's actually quicker for me to wash the Jeep myself than wait in line at the car wash on the weekends. Also (just because of how my brain is wired), the spinning brushes make me cringe really hard but somehow pinstripes from spiky plants don't bother me at all ?.

I just did for the first time yesterday. I had no issues but literally thought about the flares when I was in there. It was full blown spinning brush one. A data point of one for you.

I just prefer to be in charge of the scratches on my rig. Lol.

Installed the fender extensions a couple of weeks ago and recently ran the Jeep through a full carwash (non-touchless). No problems.
