Add me to the list as well, JLUR. Makes a nasty mess on the glass that really bakes on and is hard to remove.

Mine does it as well. A JLUR with about 1,800 miles on it, though I had noticed it within the first hundred miles.

I have good news everyone, drilling a hole in the washer fluid tank lid solved my leaking rear washer nozzle. I also noticed the lid hasn’t popped open anymore either most likely due to not having the pressure built up in the tank. It’s been a week but I will continue to monitor the situation and report back if it starts leaking again.

How's the mod holding up? Any leaking since then? BTW thanks for the hack and for being the Guinea pig! :like:

Me to on my JLU, not bad but noticeable so going to vent the tank as suggested

Checked my washer fluid reservoir under the hood and the cap was ajar and not snapped on so I'm wondering if the pressure built up as stated earlier and popped the cap and now maybe it won't drip down the glass? I'll see if that works, if so I'll vent the cap like someone did earlier.

Same issue here. Though I wash my car once every couple weeks with no-rinse, and usually follow-up with a quick spot-dusting/detailing for the next few days, so it doesn't bother me as much. I did, however, notice my reservoir cap ajar as others have.

I will pm @JeepCares with my info, I went to drill the cap on the tank and found it off so was thinking maybe if I just left if loose no pressure will build up in it but it needs to be addressed, my buggy is a daily driver and I am pretty OCD on things being perfect so after it gets washed and a quick detail wax once a week it’s pretty annootying to have those dribbles down the back window

That’s what I did, I will let you know over the next few days if leaving the cap off fixes the issue, I just washed and waxed my baby yesterday and cleaned all the windows.

Either way I sent my info in a PM.

Now, how do we fix it permanently?

I think I found a permanent fix. Drilling the hole in the lid is only a temporary fix as the issue will return. What we need to do is drill a hole in the BOTTOM of the washer fluid reservoir, something like a 1/4" bit should do the trick. Once that reservoir is completely empty, you should no longer see any leakage or drips on the rear window. :giggle:

DISCLAIMER: That was a complete joke and I really am hoping a permanent fix is on the way soon. DO NOT drill a hole in the bottom of your washer fluid reservoir, or anywhere else for that matter, based on the advice in this post.
