Rear Tail light issue

I have a 2021 4xe Sahara.

Had an accident and cracked the driver side tail light. Still works however I decided to replace it.

Ordered a used one with same part number from eBay and it arrived cracked. Bummer. So I patched it and it worked. It worked until it took on water. Once it took on water the running lights stopped working. Which are the outline of the taillight.

So I purchased another on eBay. This one looks in perfect condition. I plugged it in and it works except for the running lights.

I was confused by this so I grabbed the original one I broke to test the running lights and it works.

Very confused at this point. Did I get a dud from eBay on the second time or by having water in the first replacement cause an issue with the electrical? It is odd that the original tail light works yet the one I got from eBay does not. The seller assured me it was tested before they sent it.

Does anyone have a suggestion or experience with this issue and could help me in anyway to diagnose what the issue may be is any?

I've got a set of the OEM halogen that I removed from my wife's JLUR if you want to get a set that is guaranteed to work. You could also stop by your local 4x4 shop to see if they don't have one for sale, or even just to try out.
