I have a 2022 JLU Sahara. My passenger side LED tail light is not working. The brake light and reverse light are both still working as they should. I tried taking both tail lights out and plugging it in to the working drivers side harness and still nothing. This tells me the issue is somewhere on the tail light assembly itself. Any suggestions before I call dealer?

fuse?
But if a fuse is out it typically means there's a short somewhere anyway.

If it is a fuse wouldn't both tail lights be out and not just the one side? Or at the very least wouldn't the brake and reverse lights also not work on that side? Easy enough to check and rule it out I guess.

I must have misread part of it, you're right.
Are the lights themselves removable or is it just the whole tail light assembly?
If the lights are removable you can probably just replace the led module, but if they aren't then it is indeed most likely a bad housing in general.

Don’t laugh. Put it in the oven for 15 min at 400f. If it’s a circuit board solder issue, that will solve it. Or, take it in for warranty replacement.

As confident as you come across, I think I'll probably just turn it in under warranty! Was hoping there was something simple that I was just overlooking.

Are the LED tail lights not like the halogen tail lights where you can just pop out the bulb and swap it with a new one?

I got LED headlights and tail lights and backup lights thanks to swapping out the bulbs from the original halogen to LED.

Maybe just swap out the LED bulb with a new one.

LED tail lights are not serviceable. The whole unit will have to be replaced.

That's just like my wife's Subaru Forester Sport, however when those LED Projector headlights go, I will be replacing them with the bulb style assembly. Hopefully that's not for another couple of years.

Maybe now is a good time to purchase the halogen tail light assembly?

It ended up being a defective tail light. I got it replaced under warranty.

I am definitely buying the Bronco now. Have been driving a JEEP for 38 years and today it comes to a sad ending. Even worse, JEEP doesn’t care.

Have a ā€˜21 Rubicon JL. Every time I go offroad, I get every single warning light on my dash lighting up.

My tail lamp just went out and I’m told it will cost $2,600 to replace it! The most expensive Wrangler with only 70,000 miles and a bulb will cost $2,600 because the entire housing must be replaced? What, do I own a Bugatti?

Take it to my local dealer (Don K) and here is their response, ā€œJEEP NO LONGER CARES ABOUT QUALITY, THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A LOYAL FAN BASE THAT WOULD BY A POLISHED TURD IF IT HAS A JEEP STICKER ON ITā€.

Nonsense. Buy the part yourself and replace it in 10 minutes.
