Rear storage rack opinion on this setup?

Looking to purchase a rear storage rack for the JLUR. I need about 24 inches of space from the bottom of the rack to the floor to accommodate my Setpower fridge. I noticed that most use the hardtop mounts, has anyone tried using rubber spacers to increase the height of the shelf? Opinions on if you all think this would work???

I mounted my shelf with a 2x4 between it and the body - just drilled holes thru the wood and used the longer bolts from my soft top. Then screwed the shelf brackets to the 2x4 where I wanted it.

Second the AAL shelf. I’ve had it for several years in my 2021 JLURD and it’s rock solid.
