What brand is your rack. I ordered a no name brand (which I can return if it does not work) and I am going to try to install in my 2 door between the roll bar posts and the back of the front seats. (My back seat is totally removed). As one other guy did, I hope to be able to attachI found a different thread and it was spot on. If you’re handy in the garage you can reverse the mounting brackets and drill 2 holes. After that the 4 door version will fit but it has to be the surface mount not the roll bar mount.
I ended up turning the rack 180 degrees and had to redrill the front holes. What brand is your rack. a ripped 2x4, or maybe even a 1x4 with the existing hard top bolts and then attach the rack brackets to the 2x4 or 1x4. I am pretty sure the existing factory hard top bolts are M8 x1.25 so I will need a couple of these bolts only at least 3/4” longer, depending upon the thickness of the board I use. I am wondering how you installed your rack.
