rear footwell storage solutions?

Anyone make good storage solution for the two separate rear footwells of the JL 2door?

There's a surprising amount of storage space there. Most of the footwell space is forward of the center console. Folding the front seats forward shows how much storage room is there with about a 7" vertical limit.

Low and central, it's a good place for heavy items. Seems a bit inaccessible, but if you don't mind a quick pull of either seat they're easy to get to.

Seemed like a good place to store water, and FrontRunner make a 10gal tank that fits in a rear footwell over the driveline hump. But the slant shape of the JL 2door footwell make it out of the question (even if I were willing to remove the rear cupholders).

Are you willing to removed the rear seat? If so, you can install a floor system. For example, this one by @AdvDegree

It separates the area you’re talking about.

These floor systems look like they're mainly for providing a weather cover and security for top-off travel? and pet platform?

I'm traveling with roof top tent and hardtop in place so am wondering if a floor system will provide an advantage for me? I may not be seeing the storage advantage yet.

The one in the third photo shows that footwell storage room I'm talking about, but doesn't cover or separate it.

The other system shown in the other three photos does seem to cover that footwell area and presumably you can access it by folding the seats forward to get under the floor platform?

I also have their Plenum installed; you can see between the roll bar just aft of the sound bar.

Similar floor systems can be had with Goose Gear.

I ultimately removed the Adv Degree floor system for the Diabolical Slipstream also a forum supporter @ZeroFox
