Rear diff breather filter / cap

I took the pipe off the rear diff to check for a blockage. Which could be causing my axle seaping issue. The issue I have is a stepped on the cap and it's gone. Will I be ok running the tube without the cap bit ? I only go on road for now

As long as you aren't doing any water crossings that will cover the top of that hose you will be fine. I would go to a local hardware store and get some tubing to extend it up to behind the taillight also.
