The 2.0 has a traditional canister oil filter underneath.

I assumed so but even still, the drawings are really rough on all the Mopar parts websites I could find. Every “engine parts” section used the same exploded view with barely any parts listed.

I agree about the drawings being bad. . It's not just the "engine parts". Same with body parts. I was at the dealer looking into the rear reflectors in the rear bumper. I am interested in machining them out to accept a back up light so I wanted to buy a extra set to experiment on. The reflectors are mounted into a bracket inside the bumper with a few other parts in the way. The dealer drawings were crap, could not tell what went where? It was hard to tell which part was what. lol. A buddy owns an body shop and his Mitchell software was much better.

Try using an oil filter tool around the barrel of the cover?

I saw that plastic cover and wondered how long the "nut" was going to last.

Well when you get older, the nutz dont last as long.
