I have a 2022 JLU Rubicon with the 2.0L and the 8 Speed Automatic. Recently upgraded to the Mopar 2" Lift and 37" tires. I'm not sure which Gear Ration I currently have (Stock) and wanted to know which ratio to go with to get my 8th gear back on the Interstate! :CWL:

I think it came with 4.10, looking at other Forums.

Would 4.56 or 4.88 be better? It mostly Highway driving with a bit off-roading once a month or so.

Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks all!

4.56 would essentially put you back to where you were when you were running 33" tires. 4.88 would give you a bit more oomph.

I am running 4:88 with 38” tires. Coming from 4:10 with 35” tires it drives so much better. You will see a nice difference.

4.88 or 5.13. The charts don't factor in rolling resistance, weight and wind resistance.

Don't go too low with the 2.0t. I'd go 4.88s at the lowest. Made the mistake of jumping all the way to 5.38s and it was all around worse. No faster 0-60 than it was with 4.10s as it had to shift an extra gear to get to 60mph. It was in 8th gear at any speed above 40mph. Mpg actually went down by about 2mpg as a result. If you are mostly highway I'd stay on the higher side and probably do 4.56. You don't need deeper gears for off road thanks to the 4-1 transfer case gears. The 3.6L needs a bit more rpm. The 2.0t doesn't in my experience between our 2019(2.0t)and 2022(3.6L).

I'm a fan of Dana-Spicer gears myself.

And usually the shop that does the install will have their favorite brand. They'll quote you a package deal and warranty the work. Tell them you want heavy duty diff covers when they do the gears and they'll put that into the deal.

As far as ratio, 4.88 or 5.13 are good options. 5.13 is better for off road, towing, and high altitude.
