Rattle after cabin air filter replacement

I had the good folks at Koons Jeep in Tysons Corner do some scheduled 15K maintenance on my 2020 JLUR. One item was to replace the cabin air filter. After getting the Jeep back from the dealer when the AC is on there is a rattle coming from behind the glove box. I thought they had left the plastic on the filter or put in upside down which was causing the noise. Unfortunately that was not the case. Any thoughts on what the noise might be? it does get louder and faster as I turn the fan on from 1 to 7. I am thinking there is something in the fan itself that is rattling around that needs to be vacuumed out. Thanks for the input.

Could be the fan itself or the filter not seated properly and rattling. Take it back and have the dealer fix it. It is their issue, as the noise wasn't there until they touched your vehicle. Also, just a word of advice, change the filter yourself next time. It only takes a few minutes and you can buy a filter on Amazon.

They dropped something in the blower, or the filter is getting sucked into it. Pull the filter and vacuum out the blower motor.

All fixed after a trip to the dealer. Leaves in the fan. I will be doin my own cabin air filter changes from here on out.

Your dirty filter was the problem. The box design sucks and scrapes all the trash off the top and into the blower when you let it go too long between changes.

Stop parking under trees if you can help it and keep your wiper cowl clean.
