Full Rubicon suspension plus 1.5 spacer lift.

Purchased some jks look alike quick disconnects from Amazon and got them mounted, but they are Beyond hard to get on and off. These are the slowest quick disconnects I have ever seen. Thought I put them on upside down so remove one, turned it end over only to have the same problem. Is this standard for quick disconnects in the beginning or did I possibly do something wrong or get a bum kit or? Does anybody have any ideas and or methods to help alleviate the stickiness

I have installed and used many pairs of JKS quick disconnects on JK's over the years and yes they can be a pain if you don't know the trick to getting them back on...or even off for that matter..once you figure it out it is not bad at all...

After I posted the thread, it dawned on me, I just took my Dremel and hollowed out one of the ends a little bit so it slides on and off a bit easier. Worked like a charm. I can be an idiot sometimes

carry a rubber mallet and also sometimes when they don't want to line up just turn your steering wheel one way or the other...

On my previous JLU I had the JKS Quicker Disconnects. As the previous poster does, I used a rubber mallet and a pry bar/crowbar to line things up. After figuring out the anchor point for the crowbar, it only took seconds to disco and reco.

Agreed, they are a PITA. You definitely need a pry bar and mallet to use em. I had a set on my XJ that were much easier to use…same brand, JKS. That was nearly 15 years ago…before they became part of the corporate world.
