Have them fix what u aren’t happy with. It’s ur jeep. Miles. If it bothers u that much don’t accept the jeep. But does it really matter? I would have them fix fender and leather for sure. Headliner would be a pass for me. But that’s me

Vehicle delivery isn't always like you think it is. The truck will sometimes drop off in one place for several dealerships. That means some vehicles have to be driven the last leg of the trip to the final destination. It doesn't matter if you ordered it or if it is for dealership stock.

Your warranty will be extended by those miles. There is a specific documentation for this.

10-60 miles is pretty standard. Many dealers will do a 5-15 mile test drive (depending on time potentially more), quality inspections will also add more not done by dealer & sometimes more miles can actually be a positive indication your dealer did a thorough inspection prior to it making its way to your garage. It could also be a good indication of their service department & how they operate/work on vehicles. However, on the other coin some dealers may allow test drives out the gate on your long awaited order due to them preparing to sale what may not be picked up. Id say flip a coin to decide what your personal decision is lol because thats about the odds it could literally be either scenario.

My Hella had 6 miles on it. Didn't get flagged for Inspection.

My Hydro had 21 miles. Was flagged and spent 9 days in Inspection.

Interestingly my Hella came with a perfect Raccoon track on the top of the front bumper. Had a hell of a time getting it off.

Is there a way to know if it was flagged for inspection?

I told my sales man, that I didn't want them doing anything to MY Jeep off the trailer. I received it with all the wrappers and stuff still in boxes.
I've never done that, but it sounds like the way to go.

They are working to replace it (when one comes in), but they told me this was from the chains used when it was on the truck. Again, I found this odd.
Bullsh!t to the Nth degree.
Vehicles are chained onto trucks through pre-cut attachment points in the frames, and NOWHERE else. And because of the height of a Wrangler, especially a Rubi, they either go on a single deck or get loaded on the top deck, so there's no chance a dangling chain hit it.

So I received my new Rubicon today!

Had this ordered with MSRP pricing then when it came in the dealer accepted Tread Lightly so ended up saving money. I had a question that I know is nitpicking, but I wondered if the dealer was telling me the truth. So this was ordered for me, and it had 24 miles on it when I arrived. The reason given was that it was due to their inspection. I let it go, but couldn't help to think that they let someone test drive it a few times when they shouldn't have. Is 24 miles normal?

Next, the fender had minor damage:

They are working to replace it (when one comes in), but they told me this was from the chains used when it was on the truck. Again, I found this odd.

Lastly, there were scuff marks on the headliner (may be unavoidable), and some streaking on the side of the passenger leather seat. I've been able to get most of that off, but it's not perfect.

So at the end of the day, I know this is all minor, but I just wondered if people thought the dealer was really being honest with me. I found out the vehicle came in the evening before I arrived but my salesperson was off. I picked it up the next day.

Looking forward to my time with the new Rubicon!

Mine had 26 miles on it when we picked it up. ('22 JLR Tuscadero)
Thanks to a bent muffler tip on the one we ordered, we got a new free Black Exhaust Tip...

I watched my ‘22 JLUR roll off the truck. Granted I didn’t order mine, just right place at the right time. Mine had 8 miles on it when I test drove it before buying it. Same with my wife’s when we ordered hers 5 years ago also 8 miles on it. I’m going to guess someone took it around the block a couple times. The only way to truly be the first one to drive your ordered vehicle is to take factory delivery

Mine had 12 miles on it. I took it for a 13 mile test ride, then drove a V6 the same 13 miles and then drove the first one over the same 13 miles again, so mine had 38 miles on it when I bought it, but I’d put 26 of them on it..
