New Member Question About SoftTop

Hi,
My name is Mark and I recently purchased a 2018 JL soft top with 2K miles on it. It was a dealer loaner vehicle. I've owned 3 Wranglers in the past but this is my first one with the new type of zipperless soft top.

There is a secondary flap about 18" long under the primary top. This flap is located just above the rear of the side window on both sides. Does this flap stay on the outside of the side window panel as pictured or should it be folded back up and over the tops frame on the inside? I'm not even sure why it's there. Thanks for your input.

If it is what I’m thinking it stays on the outside. There should be a channel under there that the window slides onto. At least that’s how my premium top is.

That's it. It covers the back end of the window channel. When I put the top back up, that flap sometimes gets pushed up over the top of the frame and I have to pull it back down over the top of the window. That's why I wasn't sure which way was correct. Thanks very much for the info.
