Dometic Support told me the same thing many years ago, and I believe it. Just sorry I didn't get the 55. #sigh

My Iceco JP40 stays in the jeep on it's slide. A jackery 500 runs the fridge and the Jeep charges the Jackery. It's on and running for most of the year with water inside. When it gets to 100+ I will turn it off and take out the Jackery (heat kills them).

I just ordered my first 12v fridge. I plan to leave it in my Jeep most of the time. It will come in handy to keep cool drinks and snacks in the car.
I keep mine in the Jeep all the time. Its great for keeping my dogs food and bones frozen.

probably a dumb question, but wanted to see what everyone does.

I just picked up the Ecoflow Glacier Fridge/Freezer for my beach/comping/wheeling trips.

What does everyone do with the fridge between trips? Do you just power it down until you need it? Or do you bring it in the house and keep it powered on? Maybe as a backup fridge or freezer?

I dont really need a 2nd fridge in my house, but if its better to try and keep it constantly powered vs powering on/off only when needed, then ill do that. but ideally if theres no concern with power cycling it often, thats what I would want to do.
How does it fit? Looking at an EcoFlow and to build something like this around my blackstone / EcoFlow.

It fits, but I had to remove one of the handles. Its possible without a tailgate table (or a slimmer one) you might not have to do that.

but there is an easy fix. I replaced the rigid handles with these Bronco grab handles. It works perfectly.

Passenger side?
I have mine installed on the driver side. I dont see why it wouldnt work on either side. Mayb if you have the alpine sub it might be an issue. not really sure.

How’s the fridge going? Any gripes with the setup / space / performance?
Finally got the chance to really use it. Took a day trip this past sunday to do some downhill mountian biking. I set it up only as a fridge (32degrees) as i didnt need to keep anything frozen. It was only about 50% full. At 2pm sunday, i switched it to running entirely on battery. As of just a few minutes ago (so basically 48hrs) it was down to 3%. So it lasted about 2 full days on battery. Keep in mind, im in the northeast and it hasnt been particulary warm but also, it was probably down to only 20% full when i switched to battery since we ate/drank most of what was in the fridge. So not alot of stuff in there to help keep cool. I received notification early this morning via bluetooth that the battery was down to 20%. It kept everything nice and cold and worked great. I have no complaints.

Only thing to note is that due to my bike rack, i had to swing the fridge around 180 degrees so i can reach it from the outside of the jeep instead of in towards the trunk (bascially with the icemaker and display facing the tailgate. This put the power cord facing out as well. It rained sunday so I was worried about water getting into the plug, but it didnt seem to be an issue. Also, due to my very cumbersome Rough Country tailgate table that protrudes pretty far, it put a bend on the plug when the tailgate was closed. This will only be a problem when using it for riding. When wheeling or camping, Ill have it reverse so the plug is in the back with plenty of room. Other option is to get a slimmer tailgate table. Maybe a Outback Adventures trailgator (but spending $500 on a table seems insane to me).

My Jeep is my daily driver and it is always ready for camping. My Dometic CFX3 35 is permanently mounted and running. Several years and it’s been running smoothly with no issues.

I’ve done 26 BOH trails over the past few years and the kit has been rock steady. Being hypoglycemic helped drive my design decisions.

I empty it out and wash it after every camping trip. Nice having the drain plug at the bottom. I dry it out after washing it. Smells new so I must be doing it right. :)

You state it's permanently mounted and running. How do you keep it from draining your battery while note using the Jeep if you keep it running all the time?
