Hey there. So, my yellow A with arrow and exclamation light came on, with auto shut off/on not working message code on my 2019 Wrangler JLUR. I was told it's my aux battery. I replaced it and accidentally touched neg and pos cables when removing it. There was a slight spark. The light hasn't reset (it's been less than 24 hours) but it started right away and I haven't had any other issues thus far. How does the light reset and could the spark have affected the reset? Thank you in advance for your advice.

Always replace both batteries together. You also possibly blew the Hi amp fuse array so you'll want to check that

You should have replaced both batteries. Have you checked to see if fuse F42 is blown?

Always cover any battery terminal when you remove. Wrap a shop rag or t-shirt around it.

Did you replace the main battery? Is it original?
I did not replace the main battery. I purchased the Jeep used last Aug at Carmax. So far this is the most major issue I've had, aside from Evap. I bought it stock but have since lifted it and added 37's. As far as the history I'm not 100 percent sure when the batteries were last replaced.

Ya. I honestly didn't think I'd touch them but I was wrong... no I haven't checked the fuses. I'm still learning and this is why I'm asking here... I don't see any other issues coming up but the light hasn't reset. I've been told it can take a few drives to reset and this isn't like an oil change light that you can reset yourself. I can still replace main battery. It hasn't been 24 hours since I installed new aux battery.

Where should I check this?

I mean no ill intent, but there are countless threads here regarding battery replacement ... always replace both at the same time regardless of age/health, to avoid one dragging the other down with it.

I don't know your level of expertise, but if you blew the high-amp fuse array mentioned by @TheNewGuy, you can order another... part # is 68368853AA or if you have the tow package it's 68368854AA.

I did not. I purchased the Jeep used from Carmax. It's not a Jeep brand battery or Mopar brand if that exists. I don't know the replacement history on the Jeep. Usually there's a date sticker on a new battery, which my main one does not have. My aux battery did not have one either, but the new one does.

Take a look here, it's in the power distribution center (on the right, by the passenger-side firewall, where all your fuses are located)... but since you mentioned learning.... maybe you should take this to the dealer if it has to be replaced.

All good advice noted above.

With all of today’s high tech systems and extensive electronics, I replace all my batteries every 3 years on all my vehicles. This has eliminated a ton of heartache and odd issues. Most of these systems freak out when there is a voltage anomaly. So I no long try to get the maximum life out of a car battery. Best of luck!

Fuse F42 should be intact.

The N3 fuse on the Z Case Fuse Array is the immediate concern. If you blew it (likely), the new AUX (ESS) battery no longer has an electrical connection to the main battery and alternator; once it's drained the Jeep will stop running and/or fail to start.

To prevent this issue until replacement of a faulty Z Case Fuse Array, it's possible to temporarily connect the N3 wire terminal to the unused N4 post (same fuse rating).

Do yourself a favor and just remove the AUX battery. Pull fuse 42. Push the auto start stop button Everytime you start jeep.
