I have a 2022 Rubicon 4xe in-transit and wanted to ask if Jeep has ironed out most of the known major problems, or if people are seeing new issues pop up. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

If it’s in transit does that mean you made the deal?

I’m not committed except for paying the shipping.

I would insist that all software updates be applied before purchasing. Those updates seem to have taken care of many initial problems with the early 4xe's. I'd be at least a little bit worried about a used 22 just because the possibility that someone traded in a newish vehicle with problems. Just take it for a thorough test drive and try to exercise all of the drive functions.

You might want to compare the cost of a new 4xe under invoice with $7500 tax credit vs the cost of this used one. Might be closer than you think.

Also, knock on wood, no issues with my 22 4xe.

There isn’t a 7500 credit for purchases, only leases unfortunately.

Correct, but folks are leasing then buying out to capture the credit. I thought there was still a $3750 credit for buying if you qualify, but the lease is the best deal for a new 4xe.

I've got two 2021 models. One leased new in May 2021 and one purchased used in June 2023. Both have been solid aside from the few software updates/minor recalls that were all taken care of. I had the steering stabilizer replaced a few months back to eliminate some death wobble that starting to happen infrequently on the leased 4xe, and I think I'm hearing a ball joint making some noise when backing up and turning out of a parking spot, so I need to check the torque on those and have it addressed under warranty if needed.

Overall, we've been really happy with both!

I had check engine light issue. It was a Evap issue. Dealer had it 4 weeks never could find it. So they bought me out. My new 23 with a3.6 is rock solid

Generally they're fine just a shit load of updates. Make sure all the recalls have been done, especially the leaky water pump outlet one.
