How does the Moab package compare to the Willys?

Moab was a well-equipped Sahara, with standard black leather, color-matched hardtop, Selec-Trac, rear LSD and D44, 8.4 screen and Safety Group; added Rubicon hood and wheels; plus MT tires, the Mopar steel bumpers and the Mopar rock rails with built-in steps.

It was a very good looking package. Perfect for the ski lodge.

Moab and Willys have the same wheels, same size MTs, same suspension and axles. So Moab is a Sahara version of Willys.

MOABs also have the Rubicon suspension (basically they came with $11,000 worth of factory options). Love it or hate it, they also did not have the red dash and red "accents" found on the Rubicon (all of that is Black on the MOAB or wrapped in leather).

Consider the fact that JEEP undermarketed this edition and its benefits were initially overlooked by a lot of the customer base. It seems that people have caught on and find that MOAB's are very capable, have a great trim package and are excellent in the snow and foul weather.
MOABs also are equipped with Select Trac which is very useful and unique to just a few models of Wranglers.

You might want to check out the MOAB thread here on this forum for more info. I would see if the seller has room in his price and go look at it in person. Once this particular one is washed/detailed and sorted out, I don't think any buyer would be disappointed. Many MOAB's sold for MSRP Fully loaded they were selling for 55-56k new in 2019.

Yes, Moab was undermarketed and often overlooked. I wanted one, but by the time I came to market it wasn’t offered any longer.

So I got a Sahara that is a Moab approximation: it came with the V6, 8-speed auto, Selec-Trac, rear LSD and D44, painted hardtop, 8.4 screen and Safety Group. I added the leather seats, Mopar steel bumpers, Mopar lift, 17-inch wheels and 35-inch tires.

and id order a new jeep over that Moab at that price. New with a warranty is the way to go.
