Totally agree with you @robaw, really I doProbably true, but you're both talking about some pretty extreme conditions. I've been on-road and off-road with mostly snow/ice conditions with my Moab so far (only had it a little over 3 months and it's frozen where I live) and have yet to get it stuck (and honestly I've tried kinda hard a few times just to test my limits). I'm sure I'll get into a situation where I will get stuck where I wouldn't be if I had a Rubicon, but that will be a rare occasion considering where I'm willing to take it. I realize I'll never change you're minds or others like them (Rubicon has more physical abilities than the other Wranglers), but if a person has ZERO want or need for those capabilities does that mean they shouldn't buy a Wrangler?
I have to ON-ROAD in conditions that have patchy ice and snow (easily 4 inches+) at times. I'm totally not saying that a Rubicon wouldn't handle it, but a Moab does just fine in my experience. Compared to my previous daily-drivers I'm sure even a Sport would blow them away! All depends on perspective. I know a few guys in Washington state that wheel in snow conditions I wouldn't even consider. I don't think a couple feet of snow is "extreme" and being "stuck" doesn't constitute much of anything. If you've never been stuck in mud, snow, sand on rocks....you've never really been wheeling. Rubicons and vehicles with lockers still get stuck....they just usually get a lot farther before doing so.
As for your question....again, it's like you're asking for validation of your choice. Get what YOU want....not what everyone else says is the "coolest". The Rubicon is more capable, period. Doesn't matter the type of offroading you're really talking about, but people like to focus on the icy street conditions that ALLEGEDLY makes the LSD and full time tcase a "better" option. Having run those features in other vehicles, I simply disagree. YMMV.
Not arguing, just saying the other options aren't so badCrazy, of all the years
Totally agree with you @robaw, really I do
I will prob only use the rubi options very few times myself, but is there if I need. Or if I ever do get heavily into off roading it's there. To me, they are the Jeeps capabilities..."coolness" factors. Kinda like a vette doing 0-60 in 2 seconds. How cool is that??!!! From one red light to the next in 2 seconds flat!!!

Yes, your right!!BTW - it's actually B then A. Sorry, couldn't let it go.
Drive your Jeep...dont have it drive for you. BoringI have to ON-ROAD in conditions that have patchy ice and snow (easily 4 inches+) at times. Just messin' with you bud, I'm a jokester. the MOAB is a kick ass Jeep man..and a Jeep is a Jeep. Hell-of-a-nice Jeep at that..Enjoy it!I have to ON-ROAD in conditions that have patchy ice and snow (easily 4 inches+) at times. Sorry , but I’ll take a 77 bronco over a 77 Jeep any day...I don’t think I would even consider buying anything another manufacturer offers , they haven’t hit mark in 70 some years .. so I don’t see it happening anytime soon
Best picture and quote of the day...Hilarious!! Loved the laugh right before going to bed...awesome post!!Just messin' with you bud, I'm a jokester. the MOAB is a kick ass Jeep man..and a Jeep is a Jeep. Hell-of-a-nice Jeep at that..Enjoy it!![]()
