Anyone had an issue where the proximity lock button on just one door isn't working?
Noticed this weekend the lock button on my wife's drivers door is not working, both the tailgate and the passenger door buttons work fine, and so does the unlock sensor. Issue seems isolated to the lock button itself.

Any ideas where to start to get it to work?

Sure, have you taken the door off?

We have not yet, but just picked this up used from the dealer this weekend.
@mwilk012 is alluding to a bent pin in the door harness connector. When the doors are removed, there's a connector you disconnect in the kick panel. When reconnected, that pin could get bent and not make contact. Pin 15/16 below.

Thanks! I’ll check that a little later today. Hopefully that fixes it

Well none of the pins appear to be bent. Disconnected and reseated but nothing changed.

i did notice the button doesn’t appear to “click” like the tailgate button.

Then that is pretty easy, it’s a bad door handle. Might be dirty crap down inside of it, but I would replace it.

that’s what I figured. Well guess I’ll try to fight the dealer on this “limited warranty” first before I inevitably end up doing it myself.

How old is the Jeep? Could be a broken wire in the door harness, it gets bent every time the door is opened and closed.

It’s a 2020. I’d expect other issues if it was the door harness itself.

There are many wires in that harness, some are very thin. The harness cost about $60 last time I checked and the handle is $120. You could swap the handles side to side and see if the problem switches sides.

I find it more likely it’s the switch the more I look at it since I’m not feeling a “click” like the other doors. Good idea to try to swap the handle sides though

I had this issue on my brand new unit. It popped up three days after taking delivery same exact issue drivers door.

Took it back to the dealer and it took them over a month to sort it out. Replaced everything back to one of the computers if I remember correctly.

When I had that issue it was a broken wire in the wire harness due to the constant bending from opening and closing the door. I actually found multiple wires broken or damaged when I opened up the cloth sleeve over the harness. Are all the switches on your door illuminated when your lights are on? That’s what alerted me to look at the wire harness.

Hmm not sure about them being illuminated.
