Do you still have the stock spare tire mounted on it or did you upgrade to a larger (and heavier) set of tires? If stock, I have to think that Jeep would be interested in the problem. If you've put larger tires on it, then they will probably claim that it is your fault and that you should have purchased their overpriced heavy duty spare tire bracket.
They went with aluminum on the doors, IIRC, so I have to wonder if they did it on the rear door also and if so, is it going to be an issue for the owners and Jeep will just say, "works as designed".

Aluminum doors, magnesium for the tailgate was my understanding
