Wow, things have really changed a lot! Here's the window sticker from my 1997 TJ.
Sure is a gem to pull it out and look at it haha.

I don’t have a window sticker to show, but I bought my 2007 JKU X (became Sport), with automatic, hard top, aluminum wheels, power windows/locks, and 4.10 for $25,500. That same package on the JL has a MSRP of $37,000!

Guys...let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill here. Adjust these prices for inflation, and we can have a real conversation. Don't forget that inflation will double the price of a commodity roughly every 18 years. And a 95 YJ and 18 JL are not even comparable from a capability and technology perspective.

I compared a 2008 mustang gt vert to a 2018 and there is about a $10,000 increase in price. That's about the same.

Yep...prices go up. I can remember 25 cent hamburgers, too. Oops...does that date me?

That doesn't date you. It makes you the most rational person on this thread.

lets see... 21.5k and it has the equivalent equipment of a base JL + AC which is around 28k MSRP.

That is 33,500 MSRP today in todays dollars. Looks like the JL is actually cheaper and you got ripped off, should have waited.

Your efforts are commendable. But debating the "JL is too expensive" crowd using things like facts or economics to support your argument is like arguing with Grandpa Simpson about the price of onions.
