Surprised at how close this poll is. Thought leather would be ahead for sure given how easy it is to clean.

If you order cloth Rubicon seats are the door arm rests, dash, center console, other interior pieces, etc. all the same material regardless of cloth or leather?

That’s the same thing I was wondering. The description says “leather trimmed”...which usually means the seating area and back are leather and the rest is a leather look alike. With cloth, are the seats “all” cloth or is there some vinyl on them?

I'm really surprised too. I'm sure the premium cloth works just fine but I think black leather really ups the look of the interior. Am I missing something here? lol

I think this is a matter of personal taste. I nearly bailed on my BMW wagon because I couldn't get the kind of cloth seats that are standard for it in Europe. I prefer the texture, color and feel of cloth. My RAV has cloth seats, is 20 years old and has been used to haul construction debris, among other things, and the seats still look almost like new. I don't allow open liquids in my vehicles, and that helps a lot.

I’m going with cloth. Having had leather and cloth seats on various vehicles, I find the cloth seats easier to manage. No need to clean and condition the seats with cleaners and leather treatments with cloth seats. Less of a hassle and can be cleaned with a vacuum and sprayed with a liquid repellent for spills. I also find the cloth seats to be a little warmer in winter and definitely cooler in the summer time to sit on than leather. I will probably end up getting Wet Okole or equivalent seats covers anyway whenever they are made for the JL.

After seeing these Rubi cloth seats I'm kinda regretting spending the extra money on the leather. For me with kids/dogs(and the occasional mud) the leather has always been easier to maintain. I had such a hard time getting dog hairs and mud stains out of the cloth on my first JK. I should have just spent some money on cheap covers when I'm not the only one riding in the Jeep or going offroad.

I really contemplated leather on the new JLUR, but after seeing the cloth and with the excellent durability Ive had with past cloth Wranglers I figure why spend the extra money...I do agree though, Ill prob throw a seat cover on my rear seats for the kiddos/dogs.

The premium cloth definitely looks great, but the leather on the seats, door panels, and e-brake handle really ups the interior in my opinion. It's definitely a tough decision because the leather is not cheap. If the leather was free, would those getting the cloth change their mind?

I don't think I would change my mind.

If the leather was free I would still pick “this” cloth. It’s not full cloth like really cheap cloth. My friend just got a Freedom with same kinda combination cloth/ pleather and they looked great. This seat design is better looking also. It looks kinda like full leather in a way anyway.

I just wish there was a combo of cloth with the enhanced backseat/armrest/cupholder feature that appears to only be available with leather.
