Hey for reference, my 2019 JL Sport lifted on 35's has been the best damn vehicle I have ever owned. I get more 'smiles per mile' from this thing than any other vehicle I've ever owned. Really, by far, bar none.

Now, I have had nothing but the shittiest of experiences at severel FCA / Stelantis "Stealerships" near where I live. I've even been brought to the point of wanting very badly to legally sue one of them in order to recover diminished value for involving my vehicle in a collision on their property, while it was there for warranty service. Even though I was thirty miles away at work when a delivery driver struck my Jeep on their lot, they refused any culpability. I had to file a claim with my insurance, pay my deductable, suffer the total run-around from everyone, only now to have my vehicle show up on-record of being in an accident.

When it happenned the General Manager had first assurred me that they would take care of everything. Nope. Nothing but pass-the-blame through the whole entire ordeal. So yes, that's pretty shitty.

I cannot in good conscience ever do business with any company who treated me the way they have. Granted maybe any, or even every dealer under any brand name, may have done the same underhanded crap, but for me this event has a face. I won't ever visit any of the CDJR sheisters around the Greater Denver area, especially the one in Longmont.

It pains me greatly, I used to write engine control software for all Chrysler - Small Car, Large Car and Jeep Truck programs a while back. If anyone would have any loyalty to a car manufacturer it would be me. Yet it's all out torture to see just how bad this company's public service organization has fallen.

So while I agree with your cynicism, I have nothing but piss-poor experiences that drive my level of mistrust to the point of near to total boycot.

Really bad business practices deserve to have negative business consequences.

I decided against hiring a lawyer and do continue to grapple with that decision. My insurance has repaired the damage, recovered my deductible through the delivery service company (not the stealership) and I'm only now at a loss for diminished value. I'll even brush off all the pain and suffering as a life lesson.

However, if anyone has earned the right to complain about the total lack of customer care by Stelantis, it would be me.

Whether I now need to have a tune-up, a major engine overhaul or have diagnosis performed on my power distibution center, it will NOT be done anywhere near a Stelantis Stealership.

Hopefully, this will be my last JL that I ever own. And if so, I'm driving it around a happy man. Happy with the thought that these Schisters may have hurt me, but they won't get the better of my ownership experience.

I really am having a blast in this thing. Even while driving by one of these places. Albeit it's very hard to withhold the urge of visably flip them off as I do so.

Kind and humble regards.
Jay

Stellantis had nothing to do with what happened to your Jeep, nor is it something they would even deal with. So, I understand you not wanting to go back to that specific dealer. I can assure you that they are not all "Stealerships", and Stellantis didn't tell the dealer not to fix your Jeep.

The at fault party should cover your insurance deductible? I have used my own insurance out of preference and to expedite repairs in the past, but the at fault party has always reimbursed the deductible (and my insurance company when the claim is settled).
Zach,

Yes, that is exactly how it worked. However, I had to pay the insurance deductible 'up front' and was eventually reimbursed many months later. Writing that check when I was nowhere near the accident really componded my frustration with this stealership. Recall, I was at work 30 miles away when this collision occurred. Just more Christmas 'joy' where the spirit of their 'taking' seemed to be in extra high-gear.

The kicker, is they really fought hard not to accept my Mopar Extended Warranty. They wanted me to pay the full amount of over $1K for a cable adjustment. Even after going through the hassle and the run-around of 'proving' that my warranty was valid, (my paperwork was in a safety deposit box), they were nothing but complete Scrooges during the whole time.

My JL is my daily driver. I needed the rear seat for Christmas. Ended up with no vehicle for several days while I was going through the insurance claim process (yet another almost pleasant experience), just in order to get a rental.

Ironically, even on top of that, my policy states that I'm entitled to an equivalent replacement. They found me a Cherokee, but a two wheel drive variant. Who ever heard of a 2wd Jeep?...

So in total, it was more of the month plus hassle just because I left my JL in their care of which they contributed to absolutely no help; zero, nadda, nilch. I even had to return it afterwards because they left the rear seat latch handle completely dissengaged.

This was the entire reason it was there in the first place! So they adjusted the cable for $1048 and never connected it back together. How in the world did they test it???

Shear, unadulterated incompitent scheisters.

Sorry for the rant. Needing to fix this all through insurance is practically criminal. If not, it should be. The full resale price of my Jeep has been stolen from me. I have to legally sue them in order to recover any diminished value. My JL after all, has been in an accident.

Good thing I'm likely going to drive this unit until the axles wear off. Stellantis will never see a dime from me again. If I do ever purchase another Jeep vehicle, it will be a used unit from some other company's lot.

The fuse array is under $100. The labor to replace either the fuse array or the PDC should be about 15 minutes, if the guy never did it before.
If the fuse array is difficult to remove you may need to purchase special tools. I had to use this to pull straight up on the fuse array to remove it.
