yes - full-time 4WD, CVs and no FAD, but the housing is still the same as the Mojave with the hole for the FAD and the right side inner shaft is still a two-piece shaft with a collar connecting the two halves. There’s a cover plate with a fixed piece over the FAD hole holding the collar in place.

there has been some speculation on the 392 boards (or maybe I should just call it ‘hope’?) that the hole for the FAD is deleted on the XRs and the inner shaft is a one-piece design.
T
Fingers crossed they do away with the FAD bump, but hopefully they didn’t put CVs on the XR

Called Jeep, Couldn't get an intelligent life form, customer service rep said “it’s no longer available and cancelled”
But she said the bright side was I could still get a Jeep. Can’t fix stupid! ?

Shortly after, I spoke to my dealer again and they had just heard back from the rep.
The XR package is currently only available on a sold order. Not available for regular inventory at this time.
When they checked the first time they didn’t click on sold during the process.

Got the order done shortly thereafter.
Now just wait……..
Thanks to those who replied, appreciate the help.
Just Curious, did you get help from Leith? May not be around the area.

Still stuck in Purgatory. I wish I could get a straight answer as to what's going on. Was I randomly selected for extra inspections, or am I just waiting on a train? Nobody knows, it's the ole Schrodingers Jeep.

Edit: Also, they're using an old copy/paste. You haven't been FCA for a while

if it’s a 392, it’ll likely be the CVs, IMO. No way they’re putting UJs in a full time 4WD wrangler and I be shocked if they Jeep them changes up transfer cases just for 35s in the 392.

for non-392s, I’d think they’d just do CVs.

guess we’ll know soon!

understand the need on the 392, I'm just hoping they don't have them on the 3.6L XR

FWIW, I contacted MetalCloak before ordering my lift to confirm use of the "rubicon edition" kit and not the "392 edition" kit for my XR. I wonder if that indicates anything. Time will tell. Hopefully it's U-joints, and hopefully my lift kit fits ?

Excuse my ignorance but what are CV,UJ? Universal joints, CV shafts?

The "knuckle" on the end of the axle that connects to the wheel hubs.

U-Joints are sturdy and exposed

CV (continuously variable) joints have a boot on the outside of the joint to keep dirt/dust out, a tear in this boot can cause premature failure

I'll settle for a picture... they should have a webcam of the storage facility so I could guess which one is mine.

That’s what I thought you guys were taking about. I can honestly say I’ve never seen a SFA with CV boots. It’s always been universal joints.

They have super high end ones like the RCV ones that are pretty stout, a lot of guys run them on one ton swaps (orange ball behind the hub). But the 392 comes with some from the factory that look like they belong on a Toyota. Time will tell, but I don’t want em. U joints are pretty solid
