Haha! Dalton you are 100% mistaken! I do not dislike this thread at all. Threads like yours are vital in helping to inform others who have no idea about this issue. Here is the 200 page thread that some are aware of - that contains a lot of the BS I referenced. It is the clueless buffoons that posted all the BS and argued months and years about it. Over nothing!

As in the end and actually - FCA did me and many others - right! Please do not guess!

Ok, i misread your post then. My apologies. I really haven't read the other post you've mentioned, in quite a while.

Have they fixed the bubbling issue yet? 64.3% have had paint bubbling so far. My guess is the percentage is actually higher.

Lower. 63.4% of respondents, not 64% of all owners

Yes, respondents. 64.3% is what I was talking about. . As for the "Owners", almost every "Owner" I've talked with, who's JL is over 2 years old, has had Bubbling issues.

I don’t think they have changed the manufacturing process, but there are a ton of things you can do as an owner to prevent it

Hmmm, what can you do to prevent it? I can assure you that you are SOL if you don’t get it repaired under warranty during the 5 years coverage. If you miss the warranty deadline you might get “lucky” if you get a “good will” warranty to cover half of the cost and that’s upwards of $18K to properly repair. Stellantis lost me (a 30 year jeep enthusiasts) as a customer and @JeepCares evidently doesn’t care.

I removed and replaced my door hinges, and sealed the raw aluminum. I removed and replaced my hood hinges and sealed the raw aluminum, I removed the tailgate hinges and replaced them with the teraflex hinges, and sealed the raw aluminum. I sprayed 3M cavity wax into the hood, doors and tailgate. That’s just some of the things you can do. Otherwise, you can do nothing, and hope to get coverage. I prefer to try and be proactive.. it’s just a lifestyle choice. I may fail, as I’m only 4 years into ownership, but I know my hinge work will be successful, the inner seams corroding, maybe the cavity wax will work, maybe not., but I tried,.

Stop quoting the numbers people, its a non scientific pool 😆. The actual results are useless except to say there's an issue. But we knew that already. How big? No idea.

Anything new, with the fix?
Well this one has been a doozy... I stressed to the body shop that painting all 4 doors / hinges and the hood on a 4yr old sting grey wrangler seems to me to be impossible. He shared that they would match it and there would be no issues. Well they had my jeep for just over a month and I was told we are all set. I asked before driving an hour to pick up the Jeep does everything match? Upon showing up, I looked at the Jeep before walking into the service department. I tell you, beyond disappointment. The did a great job painting but Stevie Wonder could see the paint wasn't even close to matching. I spoke with the service advisor and manager and they both were surprised and I was told they would make it right. I stressed again, I ordered the Jeep brand new and paid to have the top and fenders paint matched and this is beyond unacceptable. I'd rather not be dealing with paint issues like my fellow JL owners. I left in the rental and the outcome is TBD. This took place last week. Here are a few pics showing the paint difference.
