Not even close. Make sure you buy the one made for your Jeep.

I don't think that is what OP is saying. Seller is saying it's a JL top. Buyer just wants to make sure it is before buying it.So you’re entering into a transaction where the seller has no idea what they’re selling? Make sure they take Zelle. I hear it’s legit. Send the money before you go as that will speed up the transaction time.
In that case the OP needs to instruct friend to pay via a secure method if they want some protection. Or they can buy a brand new one for even better buyer protectionI don't think that is what OP is saying. Seller is saying it's a JL top. Buyer just wants to make sure it is before buying it.
Well if it's a slant back the usual wont work (shocks vs no shocks, line in window vs open window etc). For the slant back, the best thing I can really say is the latches. Best-top only used different types per each. They each looks similar to it's OEM counterpart of that model.Obviously! lol! But I’m asking what the differences are just looking at them. It takes a lot to install them on the car. I want to know the difference before that. Asking for a friend. They are trying to buy one second hand and want to make sure when the person says it is JL that it is in fact JL.
