In that case the OP needs to instruct friend to pay via a secure method if they want some protection. Or they can buy a brand new one for even better buyer protection

I’d concur with those saying the seller should be able to provide you with pictures of the specific model/part number. Then look up that part number on the manufacturer site and verify fitment.

Obviously! lol! But I’m asking what the differences are just looking at them. It takes a lot to install them on the car. I want to know the difference before that. Asking for a friend. They are trying to buy one second hand and want to make sure when the person says it is JL that it is in fact JL.

Well if it's a slant back the usual wont work (shocks vs no shocks, line in window vs open window etc). For the slant back, the best thing I can really say is the latches. Best-top only used different types per each. They each looks similar to it's OEM counterpart of that model.
