JL and JK muffler differences

Does anyone know if there's a difference between the stock mufflers in the 2L JL vs. 3.6L JL vs. 3.6L JK?

I'm surprised if they didn't do anything in this aspect to improve torque or at least reduce weight. Does anyone know the differences?

I've noticed that the JL muffler tail pipe is bigger in diameter than the JK. It also has a better exhaust sound.
