Plastic Rubi Bumper removal

Got it. Just some moderate smacking with a mallet and it started moving right away. The lower holes where the doubler brackets sandwich with the frame were misaligned. I had thought about loosening them, knowing it was a possibility.

Anyone else with a RH 4x4 bumper have this riding condition? Is it too much to ask for aftermarket stuff to just fit? Looks like it'll saw a hole in the grill facia in a week or two.

Damn that sucks. Rock Hard is a known name, would have expected better. I had to make two trips to get hardware (none included), and use the angle grinder to make my small shop bumper fit last weekend.

I didn't remove any plate from the e-disco. I'll crawl under and look, but it seemed to be completely separate from the bumper.

You don’t have to remove it yet. It comes off easily after the bumper.

Oh man, I hope not. I have the full width Rock Hard bumper (steel) waiting in the shed for me to install it. I hope there’s no issue. Are there any adjustments you can make so it doesn’t rub the grill? What’s Rock Hard have to say about it? Maybe they sent you a JK model bumper??

Sorry, false alarm. I got ahead of the instructions where it requires spacers in front of the bumper flange.

Here it is installed.
