There's also a brand new Toyo RT Trail in 35x10.5r17, C load, 56 pounds, that might interest you.
I’ve seen those. They look good and if I lived elsewhere they would be higher on my list. But I live a mile above sea level and the Jeep is our bad weather car so I need something with good snow traction. The solid lugs and lack of 3pms rating is making me look elsewhere. But 98% of the time I bet they would work great.

Just ordered a set of 5x 255/85/17 MT BB AT to install on my 24 JLU manual trans.

Ebay has them on sale + another $75 off. Got all 5, shipped, for $1,635 😎

What psi does everyone run? Standard 36? I've seen folks mention 28-32 as well.

Thanks!
on my 2 door i run them a 30 and could probably go a bit less tbh

255/85/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs installed!

They measure ~35" for the spare, and ~34" with the ones on the ground.

1.5" Teraflex Spacer lift as well.

Those look nice and good option compared to the typical 35 sizes.

Do you know what offset those wheels are? I assume this is a newer Willys with the wider axles like a Rubicon?

most OEM jl wheels are +44.58 mm offset with the exception of the extreme (X) 17x8 bead lock capable wheels.

Yup, its the same as the 18-23 Rubicons as far as I know.

I laughed when I reset the computer and clutch EPROM - the first startup the dash said "RUBICON" in red haha. It eventually re identified as a WRANGLER at startup.

I'm happy with it though. So much quieter than the Wildpeak Mt01 and theyre not as tucked as I was afraid they would be.

23 Rubicon with the 1.5" spacer and 33 K02s vs the 24 Willys, same 1.5" spacer and 35s

Agree. Those on the blue Jeep didn’t look OEM which is why I asked.

Are those OEM or aftermarket wheels on the blue Jeep?

I took advantage of the Mopar Buy 3 and get 1 for $1 deal and got the 255 MT Baja Boss tires installed a couple weeks ago. They replaced the stock Rubicon KO2 tires. These were installed on the OEM wheels. I got out off-road for a few hours last weekend to fully test them out. So far I’m very happy with them.

Some initial thoughts.
  • The dealership aired them up to 42 psi. It actually didn’t drive that bad. I’ve moved them down to 32-34 since then, but I could totally live with them at 40. I didn’t try the freeway at those speeds though.
  • The tires seem no louder than my KO2’s
  • I don’t notice any difference in road comfort either. Potholes feel about the same
  • Off-road grip is very good
  • I aired down to 18 PSI and it felt very comfortable. Similar to my KO2’s but it felt even better on the larger rocks. I assume the increase height helps with rollover there.
  • I feel like I lost 1-2 MPG, but I need a tank of gas that didn’t spend so much time in 4 low to really tell
  • I didn’t see 8th gear as often as I expected, but I didn't notice a big difference in power. Maybe 0-10 mph feels slower, but everything else feels normal.
