Picture Thread: Where I'm At ?

This is a great thread. Now to just decide on what photos of the 9,000 that I have that I should post.

Maybe just start with shot near water. The bigger bodies of water....

Cape Lookout on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The Atlantic Ocean

Siver Lake Sand Dunes in Michigan. Lake Michigan

The Rocket Range onLake Superior in Michigan.

Gulf of Mexico... about 40 or so miles down the beach on Padre National Sea Shore.

A beach on the Pacific Ocean. This is on the Baja Peninsula north of Guerrero Negro.

Then some from Northern California and Oregon.
Jeep is on the Lost Highway of California. Lower right

Jeep is just bearly visible in the upper right corner on the cliff.

At the top of the "Silver Staircase" on the Elephant Hill loop in Needles District of Canyonlands NP. Fantastic place, a fun drive in my old stock '93 Cherokee (made it despite one "difficult hill" on the way out...)

Great picture, and I agree a great trail as well. Was the "difficult hill" the climb up from Bobby's Hole to Ruin Park? I did that loop once in a '92 Chevy 1500 extended cab pickup truck that had a suspension lift and 35s, but open diffs. I was actually very surprised that I was able to make that climb with that pickup, and make the switchbacks on Elephant Hill.

Nope, didn't do there Bobby's Hole part, just out to the Confluence and back. The difficult point (for me) was a kind of step around the beginning of the outbound 1-way section.
BTW, camping at Needles Outpost was great!

Flat as a pancake here at sea level so it’s more about going to remote/ignored places around here.

The Cross Sound Ferry runs from here to New London, Connecticut. Great place to catch Striped Bass, watch the sunset and see the boats coming and going. The lighthouse was built in 1899 and is now privately owned since 2013.
I rarely see anybody else out here. People go to the other “end” on the South Fork at Montauk.
Fine by me.

Hello Jeep Forum.

We think these threads are very nice. We travel a lot in Europe. America is great. Europe is a bit smaller in its dimensions. But there are also beautiful places here. I don't know if you're interested. We just joined this forum to get inspiration. We want to go on a national park tour through Nevada, Utah, Arizona and Colorado in May and June in 2024 and will find out a little bit about it in your great travel reports. Next year we want to ship our Jeep to Canada and travel the country for 6 months. Maybe we will also meet nice people here. I always travel in a roof tent and spend a lot of my time in nature.

Picture 1 and 2 Iceland on the way to Askja.
Picture 3: the highest passable point in the Alps, Col de Sommeiller.
Picture 4 Morocco on the way to the Sahara desert.
Pictures 5 and 6 on my last polar tour to the North Cape in Scandinavia.
It was an 8 week journey through ice and snow, very challenging for man and machine at 243 Kelvin.

We live near the coast so there is not a lot of spectacular scenery like in some of these great photos in this thread. We do have the ocean and that is our go to destination (all of 5 minute). Here are a few pictures of what is available to us.
