Just had this pop up on my wife's 2022 JLR with under 7,500 miles on it... Got an appointment to have it looked at tomorrow...

Did they correct the problem?

They did, to be honest I'm not sure what it was, but it hasn't happened again, she is at 8,200 miles on it now (we don't drive it much).

I have noticed this at times (18,000 miles) from Day 1 until as recent as last week, always during decelerating.
I took it in for its inspection on Friday and haven't noticed it since, is this something they could have flashed and fixed?

I have seen this when braking and usually at around 3/4 full gas. It usually goes away as I come to a complete stop. One time it did not go away until I kill the engine and start it back up.

While not every tank of gas has been the highest octane available, about 95% of them have been and I think I have done one or two low octane tanks in a year of driving over 20k miles.

I haven't been concerned enough to schedule a service appointment, but if there is a tsb, then I think I will.

We always us 87 Octane and have not had the issue in the past 700 miles or so, only happened twice that I recall and not since we took it to the dealer.

Has anyone at all had this problem permanently solved????? It seems like some people have drivability issues and some don't.

I'm assuming this issue likely pertains to the 2.0l, I can't tell if everyone here has a 4xe but I'm getting this issue with my 4xe.

My dealership seems to be struggling figuring it out and they've done the reflash in this thread, the problem came back right away.

I'm getting the "Performance limited service fuel system" message in addition to a CEL and power loss, I'm pretty much just running on electric mode and the 2.0l has no power to give. I can't replicate the conditions as it seems completely random.

My Jeep is at the dealership for the 3rd time with this same issue and this time alone it's taken 2 1/2 weeks and they still haven't solved it.

I have a 2022 4xe with a little less than7,000 miles on it.

So, my JLU...that has a whopping 1044 miles on it has been getting a dash pop-up that says "performance limited service fuel system." The dealer claims they've never seen that...I can't find any info about it online...and I'm starting to think it's a reoccurring fever dream at this point.

Has anyone else had any experience with this?
For the next 3 fuel ups, add Heet Water Remover.

If the problem persists, https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/shoulda-bought-an-ecodiesel.111519/

Responding to a 22-month-old question? Agreed.
If you look through the thread. It was commented in as early as August 2023, and then bumped by this guy yesterday:

@OminousSkitter if you skim through all 29 pages, there's basically no answer to fix this problem. Some people get it fixed, others don't, for some people it goes away, no one seems to really know exactly what fixes this problem. It seems to have a multitude of remedies. ?

It’s still relevant if the new poster is having a same or similar problem as the original post was meant for.

He isn’t, and his solution is very different from the rest of this thread, but it’s not always bad to bump old threads for added information. These pages stick around for decades, and are some of the only resources the average Joe will find when searching for solutions on their vehicle over the next 20+ years.

I agree. That's the benefit of forums like this, some questions will go unanswered for years. And any help is better than no help.

Realistically speaking though, it's probably a electronic issue. The fact that some people have brought it to the dealership and they did something to it and it came back fixed and hasn't had the problem since, and the fact that the engine ain't doing shit, and other people have had zero issues the second they switched over to 87 octane fuel... It seems like it's a general electrical issue.

Multiple causes, multiple fixes, sounds like a computer problem to me. Something happens and the computer puts it into a sort of limp mode. Engines can be finicky at times. But the fact that seems to be a common enough issue in that the fixes are in a wide variety of ways, sounds like a software issue.

Don't tell @JeepCares I said that! :CWL: ? ;)
