Just got mine back from the dealer. Got the same diagnosis as walkerkm...seat back frame. They ordered the part and confirmed it's on back order. Fingers crossed.

I just took my 2019 to the dealer for this, naturally they said they couldn't hear it even though the looseness and clunking sound in the seat back can be heard and felt even while parked. at least they were thoughtful enough to leave hand grease marks all over the leather seat. I think I'll just schedule daily appointments until they actually fix it.

My driver's seat starting making a popping noise the first week I had my Jeep. It's not constant but I have noticed it when just moving in the seat and while driving.

Hi Stonewall Lee,
We understand why this may be concerning. We suggest having your dealer inspect this concern if you have not done so already. We are also available via private message if you would like any additional assistance during that process.

UPDATE: My service adviser called yesterday and told me the part was in! It's scheduled to go in on Monday for the repair. I was surprised to hear from him so soon considering he had confirmed it was on back order. Fingers crossed, because the noise has gotten so much worse since I first brought it in.

Hi, I'm new and I'll go introduce myself in the right place but I wanted to note I bought my 2018 JLUR April 11 with 39 miles and took it on a proper road trip. At 400 miles my SO noticed a clunk sound from the passenger side. By 1000 miles we determined it was coming from the passenger seat and by 2000 miles (all done in the last 9 days) it is significant multiple clunking sounds that can be felt and heard in the front passenger seat with every normal curve in the road, acceleration and breaking motion. I have an appointment at my Jeep dealer on Thursday, but I am concerned at this point with the rate this is getting worse if I put someone in this seat and have an accident, what if the seat comes off/apart?

UPDATE 2: So the saga continues...dropped it off at 7:30am for an 8:20am appointment yesterday. I called at 4:00pm to see what the status was. Service adviser told me the tech was "still working on it", but it would be ready by 5:30pm. Got a ride to the dealership at 5:00 and was promptly walked over to the tech's work area where my seat was in several pieces. Adviser told me that as they were putting the seat back together, some of the little metal rings that hold the fabric to the seat frame broke, and their parts department was already closed so they wouldn't be able to reassemble the seat properly. As a result, it wouldn't be ready until the next morning. I then told them I still needed to get home (50 minutes away), at which time the adviser jokingly offered to drive me home because he didn't have any loaners (even though the JeepWave program GUARANTEES you a loaner if you need one). The only resolution was to drive my Jeep home with the passenger seat missing, and go back to the dealer in the morning (today)...and that was MY resolution, because the adviser just stood there and stared at me as I inquired as to how I was going to get home. Adviser ASSURED me it would only take about an hour to get it all buttoned up and he would personally make sure it was the first job of the morning.
Fast forward to this morning...I arrive at the dealership at 7:30am and proceed to the service desk where I was told my adviser was out sick today. I overheard the other advisers talking and joking about him because he called out because he "had a zit". Honest to God truth...A F'ING ZIT!!!! So I was directed to a new adviser who I had to explain the whole situation to again. The new adviser was VERY apologetic and paged the tech to see what the status was. I was directed to the waiting area as it was supposed to only take an hour at most. 15 minutes later, the new adviser comes over and informs me that the part that was ordered was the WRONG PART!!!!! I WAS FURIOUS because the original adviser just gave me a line of BS to get me out of there last night, and then called out today so he wouldn't have to deal with it. New adviser told me that the part was "1-5 days away" and would make sure he stayed on top of the situation to see it through.
So here I am, driving my brand new Jeep with only ONE FRONT SEAT, because they STILL can't give me a loaner!!! I have already placed a call to the service manager.

Frisco Jeep Chrysler Ram Dodge so far seems to be pretty interesting to deal with ... Made appointment and met advisor Tuesday morning. Told her seat issue and she immediately said it was probably seat track or frame. Bingo I was like they know what they are doing. Put me in rental but said it would be 48hours to have tech look at and confirm.about 48 hours later she calls and said tech states that’s a normal sound and said something about air????. Well that did not go over well with me. I sent her all these links and posts and told her I wanted to speak with tech. He asked me to come up there and ride around so he could hear noise. Not 10 seconds and first turn out of bay pop pop krink. I just start laughing. He goes well I hear that and feel it does not seem normal. I was very detailed on what and when it happens and easily to recreate sound just turn in the parking lot but you needed me to burn and hour to drive the tech around for 39 seconds to recreate geez.. tomorrow is Friday so we will see what they say. I hope they just replace seat frame and or track... oh called Jeep cares to share and their advice was to go to another dealer and get a second opinion, really? Case opened and quickly realizing should have stuck with my TJ cause I could easily work on and never needed to deal with a dealership!

Update 3: After 4 days without my Jeep, I finally received a call yesterday from my adviser telling me that the part was due to arrive today. He also informed me that they went ahead and ordered the plastic piece that covers the seat back because mine "was all scratched up". He spoke in a tone that made it seem like he was doing me a favor by ordering it...UMMMM, it only has 4200 miles on it and I'm the only one in the vehicle 99% of the time. Translation: they screwed that up TOO! Anyway, they assured me I would have it back today. I'm going to inspect that thing with a fine-toothed comb. I guarantee you they scratched up the door sill taking the seat out.

Must be something in the water. I also took my Jeep in on a Monday for the seat frame replacement. After 3 days in the shop, I called to check status and - oops, wrong part. I was given the option to leave it there until the following Monday for the correct part, then another 3 days for repair. No thanks - I picked it up and I’m now debating to just wait for the next oil change. I’ve had my Jeep 3 months and I’ve been to dealer for warranty service 4 times. Frustrating. Still love it :jk: :flag:

I have the same exact problem, when someone is sitting in the passenger seat while making a turn it makes a popping noise...and I’m glad I found people with the same issues, but that’s not helping me at the dealership.. they just seem to dismiss the forums and video/picture proof...
