New Jeep about 1000 miles on it and when I’m driving and coming to a stop i here this rattle on the inside of car on the passenger side. Not sure what it is and I’m planning to take it in to the dealer but the only thing that I could think of is maybe the roof is a little loose. Even then I doubt that’s the problem because I always tighten the bolts well and make sure everything is lined up properly when putting the hard top back on. Has anyone had this issue? If so how did you fix it?

@Troutster

This is a 2 dr, hard top related issue..... Here is what is causing it and how to fix.

Be sure to fix the other side also, as soon, it will be doing the same thing as the passenger side is doing.

@Troutster

If you just pressed it back in place so the double sided adhesive grabbed on again, then do know that the next time the JL twists a bit lets say, that the rattled will start up again.. 8-(

I tried double sided tape and it held for about a week and then let go.

DO get some Goop Flexible Epoxy and use that on both sides. Goop dries clear and it will not be letting go..

On my Jeep with 600+ miles it was a loose transfer case cable under the JL that was not correctly secured RRJeeper57
