Hey everyone! I just got my Jeep back from getting a detail. When I got it back I noticed right away these two areas where the paint is discolored. Upon looking further I see the paint is gone. This was not like this prior to so I know it’s not fading. Has anyone else had this happen?

That's somewhat common. Poor paint quality from the factory, especially around the hinges. Might as well make a warranty claim now before any corrosion begins.

This is paint on the bumper. The black paint. It was fine before the detail.

looks kind of like a reflection/glare in pic until you pointed it out. yeah, it’s possible someone scrubbed it too much. inquire with the detailer who will likely deny anything. a product called “solution finish” will re dye that well.

Ok, looks maybe like wax sling from a buffer wheel in the textured surface. Or maybe burned the paint off the textured surface, if that’s a metal bumper. The pic makes it hard to tell.

This one is hard, products use in detailing have different effects and results on various surfaces. What work good on my jeep is not that great on the wife car and so on.
Go back to your detailer and ask him to have a look at it preferably at no cost

This was a simple wash and Chamois. Degreaser was used. I think something was left too long on the bumper. No buffing was done.

Looks to me like their buffing wheel was rubbing on it.
