It states that if there is corrosion in the hem flange area, that this requires replacement. All four doors are on order for my 2019 Moab edition. This is per the dealership and Jeep customer service.

Not all dealerships have bodyshops, some contract it out or refer you to another dealership.

I'm in Upstate NY, not LA. When my JL showed signs of corrosion my Jeep dealer lacking a body shop referred me to a Dodge dealer 50 miles away. The Dodge bodyshop did excellent work and was very accommodating. Good thing. I had to return the next 2 years in a row to repair the same problem. It's now been over a year and the problem appears to be resolved. I wish that Dodge dealership sold Jeeps...

My original dealership was sold and the new owners did not purchase the body shop which was located in a separate building about ¼ mile away. When I went to have the paint problem looked at they said I was on my own, no contracted shops and I had to go elsewhere, no help at all. Luckily I found a dealer that agreed to do the repairs and they did an excellent job. In the process the new dealership became my new dealership, they now do all my warranty work.

I was told the same thing when I first had the issue

Wow! Very sorry to see that. Your JL has very severe corrosion.

PSA. Have seen this a couple times at a dealership parking lot when picking up my JL. Your level of corrosion does end up happening unfortunately.

Can say to all other JL owners with this problem - bring it to your Jeep dealer with a body shop and have everything fully documented in writing. Get the repairs and or panel replacements done asap while under the current 5 year corrosion warranty supported with the latest TSBs referenced.

Do not follow what some others have posted that paint bubbling corrosion is not covered by FCA Stellantis. They are wrong and clueless. Some buffoons. Some trolls. Some still posting nonsense here. Maybe some dealers telling them BS so they go away.

Hopefully this will continue to be completely covered under the FCA Stellantis warranty into the future. But policies do change - so better get this done sooner vs later.

Yes some know we brought our 2018 in for corrosion warranty work 3x. Touch wood nothing has come back. Last time the work was completed a month after 5 years as the dealer was waiting for a hood and door panels to be delivered.

Only problem appearing a couple years later is rust where the torx bit screwdriver was inserted to remove and reinstall the steel bolt heads. The OEM paint inside the torx was damaged letting water in causing orange rust from oxidation. Ended up taking care of that nuisance on my own. Jeep paint basically now looks brand new. Get this done while you can vs paying out of pocket later.
