P04DB - Crank vent disconnected ? Code

Hello,

Just had this code pop up, anyone had this on their Eco ? and what was the cause ?
Disconnected Crank tube/ vent ? i did a quick glance this morning and everything looked fine, over the weekend i had to remove my air intake (Afe) for clening, and i connected all as usual , nothing out of the ordinary.

If it happened after you were under the hood, it’s safe to assume something was moved or disconnected.

The only other posts I've seen about this are for a snorkel and a dealer boo-boo. Not knowing much else, I have to ask... are you absolutely certain the pcv hose is secure?

Not too long ago I removed an unnecessary catch can & returned to stock. About a month later I received error codes related to an O2 sensor, and the pcv down below wasn't secure. Not the same, but one of the problems was the pcv hose.

hi, im not 100% which hose is the "PVC" hose, the one from the left side bank hose to the air filter is what i rechecked and actually removed and cleaned , which there was not much oil residue. I just contacted Afe power, and they said they are aware of the code, and they have a fix for it, which they will send it to me, hope it takes care of it, i will update you all. I will triple check all air hoses this weekend again

I was referring to the connection on the intake, but the one down below right behind the cat (for the 3.6) is the one that gave me fits. I also skipped right over your mention of the Ecodiesel. I've been of absolutely no help.

I also have an aFe Cold air intake, this code has popped up on my vehicle. What did they send you to resolve the issue? I am going to reach out to them also but just wanted to know what they did for you. Since they are aware of the code.

They had me send in the tuner a second time that is. And got a new unit back the tuner portion and this was 3 weeks ago and haven’t installed it back in. Called them a few days ago to ask the techs what they discovered. Assuming that it has logging capabilities and the rep on the phone was not much of a help and said said. We sent a new unit and the deringer tuner itself can NOT detect/log any fault codes…. And I asked what would they do for me IF this happens again. They’d aid that’s something we would need to discuss if it happens again I’m debating to plug it in and in hopes not getting any codes ever …. So this is where I stand
I would highly recommend anyone with similar codes /issues reach out and bring this up with my issue and yours so it alerts them to jump on a solution asap …

Wait… you have a Banks Derringer also? I have a Banks Derringer and Pedal Monster. Haven’t had an issue or problem until about 2 days ago. Got the CEL code and then cleared it. Came back on this morning on my way home from work. But you sent your tuner to aFe? Or did you contact Banks?

Tuner is banks. The afe was causing an issue which I fixed The P0192 code was from derringer. Had to do a lot of digging and process is elimination to see what was causing all this

I did not get a code P04db but it did state crank vent disconnected in my scanner (Autel maxis). Which was do to a cracked vent hose which is connected to the aFE air intake right before the throttle body afe has an aluminum tube that runs downstream of the air intake pipe. And the hose clamp has cut through the soft hose which was making the pcm read irregular air or unmeasured air coming in. So I replaced the hose and tossed the ring worm clamp and used a no ring worm type hose clamp. And it solved that issue right away and I did let afe know and they agreed The silicone elbow from the air pipe to the throttle body is the portion that afe sent a replacement for and of course didn’t charge me -warranty

I was driving on the freeway and got a check engine light. Normal driving. Light rain in LA

at the stop light I ran the code via banks I dash. Popped up P04bd … this code came up a while back (previous posts). It was a cracked PCV hose to the ace air intake. That was fixed. And code cleared. Wondering what this is. Just wanted to pop in and write this. Tired now from work … will have to check once the rains calm/stop
