Hey all. Maybe some of you can help me out with something? I had a 2023 392 XR Rubicon on order. I stopped in at the dealership to see if there were any updates? My dealer couldn’t find the order anywhere, including a few other builds as well that were previously ordered with the XR package. Have vehicles already on order ever been cancelled before to anyone’s knowledge? The dealer placed some calls and is now waiting to here back from Jeep but I’m curious if this has ever happened to anyone else before?

Pulled the trigger on a 392 and ordered it last week. I stuck with white for a remembrance build for my Dad,
Trailer tow package.
Xtreme Recon package.
Windshield Tie Down.
All Weather Floor Mats.
Integrated Off Road Camera.

VON: 56585535
Status: BG

This was the post that I made when the Jeep was ordered several months ago.

Maybe they messed up or over allocation.

When you order get your POC and next day ask for VIN should have order 1. VIN is created as soon as order is accepted, or at least it was in 2022.

Really sucks though. Sorry to hear that.

Here is a great thread on the process
https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...er-build-tracking-and-delivery-process.54344/

Unscheduled:

BX = good order available for scheduling
BB = fleet order only review by bid department
BD = special equipment processing
BE = edit error - coding error which must be corrected before order can be scheduled
BG = order has passes edit but cannot be scheduled regardless of sold status

Reason Codes:
F = finance hold - automatic cancellation after 15 days
B = model or option build out
L = material restriction
M = material hold (fleet)
ZA = canceled order

Scheduled:
C = tentative schedule
D = firm schedule: serial number assigned
D1 = gateline: unit sequenced for production, est ship date assigned

Build:
E = framing
F = paint
G = trim

Built:
I = unit built, pending final inspection
J = vehicle passed final inspection but not released to carrier
JB = shipped to body vendor
JE = shipped to emissions
JJ = consigned to body vendor
JS = shipped to storage
KZ = released by plant and invoiced

The dealer should be able to figure it out, but Jeep can and has canceled orders. March of 2021 ordered a JLR through my Montana LLC, took delivery in June and shipped it back to Hawaii.. March of 2022 ordered a JLUR through my Montana LLC, got a VON right away and a VIN the next day. 2 days later the dealer called me and said Jeep is canceling all orders for Montana LLC's.

With the VON number, that was from when the order was made initially but I never went in and got the VIN number simply because my work schedule is nuts! I then waited and checked back with the dealership in November but there was nothing yet and was told that in many cases the 392’s sometimes take a while to get built. When I checked back yesterday several JL orders, not just mine, were not showing up at all. The salesman wondered if they had been possibly moved and allocated to 30th Anniversary Rubicon builds but still couldn’t find anything so he contacted whoever it is that is his contact man and is now waiting to hear back. If my order got cancelled I’m going to be freaking livid! I’ll keep my Jeep but it may be the last one that I ever buy from them again if this is what they do on occasion .

I think this is on your dealer, not Jeep. The status code they initially gave you basically said it likely wasn’t going to get built in the configuration you had set up due to restrictions. They should have noticed that right away and informed you what that means. I’d suggest trying a different dealer. And if you want a 392 order soon because they may not be back for ‘24.

I will see what they say? It’s not just the 392. It was ordered with the Extreme Recon package. The dealership later on showed it as an accepted order though but who knows? I’m hoping that my salesman hears back sometime soon from his contact guy and we can find out what happened?

The XR package isn't available online through the jeep builder website....so maybe since you ordered an XR package it was kicked back?

That’s what I’m hoping didn’t happen. It was ordered when the XR package was still available and was accepted. I’m hoping my salesman’s assumption is right in that all XR orders got delayed for the 30th Anniversary Rubicons and will now be a part of those builds but who knows? Once he hears back from his Jeep contact we’ll have a better idea. Because apparently my order and like 3 or 4 other orders are not showing up at all now?

I ordered my 2022XR in February 2022, and in May 2022, I got a call from the dealer that the order was not in the system and it was canceled without his control.
Then in June (just a month after), I got the "good news" call - he was able to order it for me, and it's now expected to come in by October 2022. YEY. At that point was actually able to track the order, and eventually, it came on September 1st (less than three months wait). In August, Jeep sent me a letter apologizing, and that because of the delay, they're making my 2022 ad 2023. So, in the end, I ended up with 2023 by September 1st.

Well, I’m pissed. I found out that Jeep cancelled my order in November, even though it had been accepted. No notifying me or the dealership. Fortunately, I found the email addresses to several Stellantis board members including the CEO and Executive Chairman. I sent an email to every executive whose email I obtained and hopefully they’ll actually call me back or email me back some answers. That is complete garbage for them to do that. Has anyone else ever experienced this before?

So from above the BG statues means it was never accepted. This isn't Jeep or Stellantis' fault but 100% on your dealer. I'd even say you were more to blame than Jeep and especially Stellantis by not following up and asking your dealer what BG meant.

Sucks this happened to you I wouldn't expect to hear from the board or CEO of Stellantis or even Jeep however I would recommend talking to the sales manager and owner of the dealership and see what they can do to help you out.

Just make sure your calm and don't yell at them telling them they are shit etc.

Your salesman doesn’t know anything.And if your waiting on a 30th you got another 10 years to wait.We’re do people come up with stuff
