I'm installing the Oracle Flush Mounts with the "Beauty Panel" tomorrow. Thanks very much to Threedom for hooking me up, gratis... with the 1st panels printed and shipped. (for me to eval and keep)

My 2018 2dr. Rubi JL has the LED option and no BSM.

Today, getting ready for the install, I used JSCAN to disable rear turn lamp diagnostics in regard to both Lt. and Rt. side. Hopefully, when I install the Oracles, there will be and no hyper flashing or Evic notice thanks to the JSCAN deed I did.

The Jscan vs the Taser, which do you think will be better for that?

@JLTruman

Threedom notified me they have a package on the way to me via UPS, that is scheduled to arrive to me today. I'm a tester for Threedom.

I was told there were an assortment of items for me to look over and also the two "Beauty Line" panels for my Oracles flush mounts.

I'm thinking that they also threw in the Plain Panel for me to eval/look it, etc.. Also, thrown in, custom badges, wheel caps and more..

I plan on actually running the Beauty Line panel on my JL after testing..

Over a month ago, I sent a picture of the Oracles to Threedom. I had used a photo chop program to remove the Oracle logo from the rectangular line on the panel and just made the line all the way around lets say.

I said to Threedom is a plain panel and a panel like in my picture "Possible" ..... and was told yes, possible and at that point the Threedom design team went to work... Anyway, a few weeks later and my request materialized so to speak.

It took awhile but I know that there is more to designing... bringing home so to speak, such an offering..... there's more to it then one would imagine. That coupled with Threedom is a stickler on wanting an offering just right... they settle with nothing less.

Yes, I'll post again and with some pictures. I'm not one of those who takes a zillion pics and do a video kinda guy though.

@Ct_Formula

First off let me point out that I am quite Tazer JL, savvy.. I have been fooling with a Tazer JL for years.. since Joe first started offering it... As for JSCAN, I'm a Novice and most of the time I reach out to my contact in Poland when/before I do any settings with it, etc. I have not done before.. I also aks fellow forum member's for their take so to speak..

With that said. With JSCAN, it took all of say 6 mins. if that to use it to disable rear turn lamp diagnostics in regard to both Lt. and Rt. side. You literally... in the app, click on the word disable and then click on the go button. You do this for both left and right side rear turn lamp diagnostics. That is it.... again deed done in say 6 min. or less.

Now, with the Tazer JL, to do the deed necessary in regard to the Oracles it is a much ore involved procedure.

No, I have not done this particular Tazer JL deed, but I know the drill so to speak and have watched a couple of videos guys doing this deed...

Anyway, Tazer JL does the deed, but it takes much more time and effort to do so. For someone that is not familiar with dancing with the Tazer JL, it will take even more time to do this deed.

So, both Tazer JL and JSCAN can do the deed. IF, you have both a Tazer JL and JSCAN, I'd do the deed with JSCAN.. Less time consuming and less mental lets say... 8-)

For the record... While I dabble with JSCAN, I do believe the Tazer JL Mini is the pick of the litter in regard between the two programmer tools. When I talk programmer to young guys and gals locally, I always say go Tazer JL Mini. And I say this for many many reasons.

Disclaimer of sorts: I did the deed with JSCAN. I have yet to test to see if that deed will in fact prevent issues in regard to the Oracle install. Assuming I'm good to go... Will post how I made out after the install..

Ok I've been toying with the idea of getting one just not sure which way to go. I'm decent / good with technical stuff but sometimes get lost in the forest, then fall down a rabbit hole.

Well, as mentioned, I say go with Tazer JL to those I talk to.... but I always also throw into the conversation.... that with the Tazer JL you have to go through the marry and unmarry dance and it can get old after awhile and when your JL goes to a dealer for service, if you have a Tazer JL installed, you need to unmarry... You do not have that dance with JSCAN. I just make that clear but do suggest they go with a Tazer JL.

Do your homework... read forum posts, etc.. before you decide..

As for the Techy stuff.... there is a heck of a lot of hand holding so to speak in regard to the Tazer JL. Joe, his staff and all the well versed, fellow Tazer JL user's here, can get you through whatever... I might add that Joe himself has / drives a JL.... and is very hands on.... into it so to speak.. and he gives a dam.

Even for someone not into techy stuff, the Tazer JL should not be overwhelming... sure if you can't read and process info, can't follow simple direction, nor want to be bothered with marry and unmarry.... then you will run from the Tazer JL.

Not so much help with JSCAN, in general.... While there are few forum member's using JSCAN, no one really is proficient at it here it seems... I bounce JSCAN stuff off of guys here, but I more often then not connect with a Polish guy that works for JSCAN for my ?'s.

Thanks, ZAutomotive / Joe Z. for being a long time Forum Sponsor here.

Ok, I did the install of the Oracle Flush Mounts.... and they do have the Threedom Beauty Groove Panel Installed.

Threedom did a terrifc job on the Beauty Groove Panel. Color, finish and for are exceptional. Really nice and no more Oracle Logo.

Hints for anyone that will be doing the Oracle Flush Mount install. DO have some medium/blue thread locker to use when doing the install. Oracle gives you screws they want you to use and you are screwing into metal with these... you will want to use thread locker in regard to those screws.

In regard to the screws... go easy putting them in.. They are a bit awkward going in but they work well.

Oracle video showing the guy doing the install is misleading in regard to disconnecting the factory connector for the light.. Yes, you unlock the red tab... but then use a little flat tip screwdriver to press the inner release tab on the other side of the plug. Follow the video.. where the guys says squeeze and release is pure bullchitt...

In regard to the nylon retaining screw that secures the factory tail light... You can use a torx bit or socket on it .... your choice. Do not over tighten or you may snap the nylon bolt.

I found the fit and finish of the Oracles to be decent. As mentioned the Threedom direct replacement panels fit well, color excellent and finish excellent.

Suggest when you do the install, do cover each connector that you do not use.. cover any open connector. This way if you ever sell the lights, that the connectors will not be dirty, weathered. Also, so all are decent in case you have to return lights within warranty period.

OK, about the pics of my JL with the Beauty Groove Panels... Well, I did take pics but will not post.

Threedom sent me 2 sets of Beauty Groove Panels. One set of the Beauty Groove Panels exactly as they will sell them.... Geeeez, they look good... ....

....the other set of Beauty Groove Panels....well, it has my last name in the place of the Oracle logo...

YUP, the one owner of Threedom, had the one's with my Last name included/sent to me.. I got such a kick out of them.... I installed the set with my last name on it. I'm anti-logo but ... well, I could not resist and installed the one's with my last name. The other Beauty Panels are here in a plastic baggie...

In closing... I am not really thrilled with Oracle Lights, the company, as I feel they did not test this offering properly, if at all. Can tell you though, these Oracle Lights, flush tails sure look really really good on my/any JL.

Fortunately, I was able to deal with them with JSCAN. Icing on the cake so to speak is the Beauty Groove Panels from Threedom. Threedom did a real nice job on them.. and I would say that even if I had not gotten my Beauty Groove Panels free... I'd also post here if the panels were not a terrific offering. Those that know me, know I tell it like it is so to speak..

Here is a pic of the Beauty Grove Panels I just took.

I think this would be a good place to put the nickname of your Jeep, or whatever you might like, if they wanna make custom for everyone.

So, if I don't have blind-spot monitoring (BSM) then these taillights would be simple plug and play?

(Making my way through the thread and haven't figured out this answer yet.)

___________
Initially I wasn't interested in these because the JL stock tail lights are SO much better than the old TJ tail lights. I did flush LED tail lights on my TJ when it was almost new.

But the oracle flush tail lights do look pretty great and have grown on me. Now that I know the backup lights are brighter, they're starting to seem necessary :)

Not necessarily. If the Oracles are replacing factory LED tails, even those without the BSM function, there's a chance of a hyperflash warning occurring on the dashboard that will require a Tazer to deactivate. The lights themselves may operate correctly.

The Oracles provide error-free, plug-and-play operation only for the owners with factory, non-BSM incandescent tail lights.

Ok, so no BSM on your Rubi. Does you Rubi have factory LED lights/Led option?

Info needed in order to give you the heads up so to speak.
