What did you use for the valve? This $9 CNBTR works great.
I use autodeflators to air down, and the compressor already has a check valve so I didn’t use one on the 4 way.

The Haltecs push onto the valve stem easily but are difficult to remove. I was concerned that I would break a valve stem taking them on and off. So I switched to clip-ons. Bought them on Amazon. I would do the same to the Kraken hoses. Keep the Haltecs in case you get different rims. I wouldn’t let that issue stop me from getting the Kraken setup.
Got it. Thanks for the info. Sounds like the fittings can be swapped out easily enough

So do I, 9 PSI front, 8 rear. If you don't have beadlocks you need to run more air in the fronts.

How does that work not having a valve? I have the ARB twin but shut the air off to check the pressure.

No issues. With the autodeflators at 15, I can hear the drop from 20 to lower. Then at 15 they basically shut off.

I have a gauge with QDs that I put on the compressor to check the air up.

This is what comes with the Epic Kraken. Sooo much better than the old screw-on type.

I've got these and love them. I think they were $10 each on amazon. They lock on, don't fly off, and don't leak.

Those are what I use.

I like how secure they are once you clamp them and the alignment is perfectly straight every time.

I choose this style over the ones listed on post #1 because the flexzilla hose is super soft and I didn’t want the lever to get tangled up with the hose when I store everything in my carry bag or when it’s time to pull everything out and set angle the hose.
X2

I haven’t found versions of the style shown in the OP’s original post that are actually secure. One or more always leak. This style (Haltec), is easy to attach and holds air. They came on the Moreflate system.

I've been struggling with a cheesy air chuck on my Viair 440P. Last week was the last straw. I had to hold it on the valve stem for all 4 tires.

I ordered the Haltec air chucks here Amazon.com: Haltec 4 (Four) H-5265 Standard Bore Grip Lock On Air Chuck 0-300 psi 1/4" NPT : Industrial & Scientific

I'm thinking of making an ocotopus arrangement for filling all 4 at once.
DIY or buy one, the price isn’t that high but they’re awfully useful if you’ve got a compressor that puts out enough output.

Do you know if they are using a 1/4" ID or 3/8" ID hose on the commercially available octopus systems (Morrflate, Epic, etc) ?

Pretty sure it’s 1/4”. 3/8” is probably more than your compressor needs unless it’s one of the higher end ones.

Epic is using 3/8. Was just looking at mine today.

Edit: Sorry, just noticed you asked about ID specifically. It's 3/8 OD.

My compressor is one of the higher outputs, but with multiple hoses, 1/4" will work.
